| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2006 It was a dark burnt orange and very coludy when poured from a 11.2 ounce bottle. The head was a creamy white about a 1/4th inch in height and it did not last long. However, this is one carbonated brew. There is no lacing left on the glass, a snifter. It has an aroma of sweet caramel and light fruits and tastes about the same. It finishes clean and the high carbonation makes it refreshing. I could sit down and drink a lot of these.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 5, 2006 This pours a dark but in no way opaque burgandy with orange hues. The head is large, offwhite, finely bubbled, and incredibly long-lasting. The nost is lightly sweet and somewhat citric with hints of cherries. The palate is very similar, revealing a light alcoholic flavoring and a medium to high sweetness (though not nearly as sweet as the hyper-fermented brews). The carbonation lightens and "covivializes" the light stickiness of the malty sweetness. gilvanblight (390), Windsor, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2006 Another dark pour from the saint. Light chocolat brown head that faded quickly. Very easy drinking and would make a great session beer, but not nearly as complex or good as the other St. Bernardus beers. Had much higher then expected carbonation. ryananderson (74), Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 31, 2006 Average. Easy to drink - some malt and not overly spicy. I find the body a bit light though. Aroma is of raisins, light hops and average malt. shrubber85 (2886), Wallhalben, Germany
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 27, 2006 Bottle. Cherry - orange malt aroma with alcohol sharpness. Dark copper with moderate head. Sweet orange/raisin flavor with moderate carbonation and acidity. A bit on the weak side - like a more robust flavor in Belgian ales. TerryR (383), Oswego, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2006 Partly because it is in a beautiful St. Bernadus goblet, but this is one of the nicest looking beers that I have ever seen. Deep burgundy color with a nice off white head. Great lacing. Very yeasty aroma with some dark fruits and a hint of spice. Fruit more noticeable in the flavor along with some candi sugar. Fairly dry but very smooth and lasting finish. Very nice. OldRaspy (292), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
