It has a nice dark color with a pretty nice nose to it, when poured into the right glass. The taste is not too bad, almost a suble feature of nuts. Overall not that bad.

Pours a murky brown color with a large creamy head. Nice lacing too. Aroma is nice - crisp and spicy with bread, yeast, and sugar. Taste is the same with a dull earthy finish. I’m generally not a fan of Belgian ales like this, but this one is quite good. Drinkable and enjoyable.

11.2oz bottle (Best before 16 05 11) and served in a tulip. This beer poured a cloudy, dark amber with a two-finger thick head of tan foam that lasted. Very nice lacing. The aroma included caramel, dark fruits (plums, apple), and some spicy yeast esters. The flavor had thin caramel notes, caramel apples, fruit skins, and also some breadiness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had crisp, aggressive carbonation. While lacking the complexities of it’s bigger brothers, this is still a decent brew.

Reddish brown with a quickly disappearing beige head. Some caramel aroma but not sweet. Spicy toasted malt flavor with a dry, slightly sour finish. Nice light carbonation.

Bottle @ Victory Bar... Poured a hazy ruby-brownish with a thick, beige head. Spiced, toasted malt aroma. Light carbonation and a thin base to the palate. Creamy yeast and malt notes. Very spiced and sweet bread-like notes with a smoked almond character in the finish.

This reddish brown ale poured with a huge beige head that bubbled away in short order. There is a fruity aroma and a nut and spice flavor with some banana ester. There is a long dry peppery finish.
