330 mL bottle. Hazy chestnut brown with ruby highlights. Brown head recedes but never disappears. Fairly typical yeasty, fruity (plums, golden raisins) aroma. Appealing, though. Mouthfeel is drier than expected, and certainly dry for the style. Taste doesn’t live up to the aroma. Good, not great.

Part of the St. Bernardus mixed pack. The beer pours a semi-translucent copper-tinged brown with a rocky off-white head. The aroma is yeast, brown sugar, plums, and roasted malts. The mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, with above average carbonation. The flavour is sweet mal;t, caramel, raisins, yeast, and a spicy finish. A huge fan of St. Bernardus, and this is a very good beer.

Smells quite nice, if not overly complex. Light candi sugar, sweet malt, slight funk. Hazy brown, long lasting off-white head. Tastes great, like a less intense Abt 12. Upfront sweet candi sugar, finishes with cloves, red dried fruit, other spice. Not as much alcohol heat and a mild sweetness that isn’t cloying makes this quite drinkable. Medium/light bodied and average carbonation. Great dubbel.
