He poured a gloomy amber brown body but a thick kaki colored head. The aroma and flavor brought yeasty.. doughy notes, with hints of plums, raisons, figs, brown sugar and earthy oak.. slightly tart. There was a nice black pepper rendering as well. The palate was velvety and creamy… but the brew just wasn’t all that exciting for me. A solid beer but it lacks any
hearty character! jeremytoni (1138), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized beige head and decent lacing. The aroma was moderately sweet fruits, bananas, yeast, and slightly oxidized. The flavor was yeasty, fruity, spices, brown sugar. This was medium bodied with moderate sweetness. Pwn3d (1137), Manhattan, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Bottle from Stateline. Pours lighter than 8, but still looks great. Lots of cream, malted notes, and some familair molasses notes as well. Finish is more alcholic than the 8, also thinner. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Pours a root beer brown with a sizable, fluffy, beige head that laces nicely. On the nose are raisins, light brown sugar, spicy yeast and candy sugar. The palate is medium-bodied with soft carbonation ending quite dryly. Mildly spicy Belgian yeast, raisins and a touch of brown sugar, finishing dry and fairly quickly. This one is very well constructed and tasty, but there’s something missing that keeps it from being a "Wow!" beer. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England
