I was slightly disappointed by Mr. Beranrdus.
He poured a gloomy amber brown body but a thick kaki colored head. The aroma and flavor brought yeasty.. doughy notes, with hints of plums, raisons, figs, brown sugar and earthy oak.. slightly tart. There was a nice black pepper rendering as well. The palate was velvety and creamy… but the brew just wasn’t all that exciting for me. A solid beer but it lacks any hearty character!

From bottle poured brown with lots of off-white head. Nice flavor of malt and hops with a smooth finish.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized beige head and decent lacing. The aroma was moderately sweet fruits, bananas, yeast, and slightly oxidized. The flavor was yeasty, fruity, spices, brown sugar. This was medium bodied with moderate sweetness.

Bottle from Stateline. Pours lighter than 8, but still looks great. Lots of cream, malted notes, and some familair molasses notes as well. Finish is more alcholic than the 8, also thinner.

Just because its the lowest on the chain of abv doesnt mean it sucks....i found this beer quite enjoyeable and a bit easier to drink do to this factor. at first i thought it may be slightly thinner then its predessesor, which it is, but as this beer warmed some nice rich fruit aromas and drk tobacco leaves pushed with a pop of sweet malty bread. a nice beer and one i would definately drink again.

Pours a root beer brown with a sizable, fluffy, beige head that laces nicely. On the nose are raisins, light brown sugar, spicy yeast and candy sugar. The palate is medium-bodied with soft carbonation ending quite dryly. Mildly spicy Belgian yeast, raisins and a touch of brown sugar, finishing dry and fairly quickly. This one is very well constructed and tasty, but there’s something missing that keeps it from being a "Wow!" beer.

Appealing reddish to dark reddish brown, cloudy, white head, aroma ... slightly above average, some notes of dark fruit, though faint, flavor is mainly that of mild dark grapes, sugar, and some bread, finish is light and slightly bitter.
