Bottle from Wilburs best by 10-08-09 poured into Watou chalice at 56 degrees- Pours a nice dark red brown with a 1 finger off-white head; Fruit esters, malt, and a little alcohol to the nose; Dried fruit like raisins, barley, and more alcohol on the initial taste; Rye fading to a sweet aftertaste; Nice and creamy full body; Lively carbonation; Quite good! Kind of a toned down version of their Abt/12.

Pours a medium brown with a big lasting frothy head. Nice sticky lacing. Aroma and flavor is spicy malt with a hint of roasted nut. Another solid Belgian ale.

11.2oz bottle Enjoyed in my St. Bernardus, Watou glass. reddish brown color, white head. Smells like a Belgian Ale. Aroma of dried fruits. Tastes is very light and easy to drink. Flavors of crisp fresh tree fruits like apples or pears. Very odd due to the color. I expected more caramels or chocolate. Very balanced.

been sruprised for a while that I hadn’t rated this then I realized I couldn’t find it anywhere in SD. Picked this up yesterday while on a beer run with my brother at Chevy Chase. bottle gusher at roomish temp. Pours deep orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet and fruity and richly malty. Taste is sweet and fruity with a dubbel like quality. Tasty.

Pours dark brown, translucent, with a large pillowy head, whick recedes fairly fast to a thin covering which lasts for the rest of the beer. Very high carbonation level. Fairly subdued fruitiness, which made it seem almost lagerish, it’s so smooth. Fruitiness becomes much more evident as the beer warmed toward the end. Dont drink too cold! Sweet aftertaste, mild bitterness.

Thanks bro! Pours a plum color with a lot of particulate and a medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is intense green apple, concord grapes, a bit of alcohol, and plum and other dark fruits. Taste is dark fruit, a bit of green apple, and some bready yeastiness. An enjoyable sipper.
