3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Mahogony color with a nice off-white head. Rich malty aroma with some spicey yeast. Some banana/clove flavors from the yeast, but otherwise toffee and some date stone fruit. Nice depth. Finishes dry and makes you want to keep drinking...

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good size off-white head on top of a murky dark amber brown body. I don’t get a lot of caramel in the nose but I get toasted grains, spice and rich fruit. Taste is better as it warms, smooth rich mouthfeel with a medium body, hints of caramel, cocoa, soft spice, fruit and pleasant alcohol.

Poured an amberish hue, and had a tan head which lasted a good while. Aroma was malty, fruity and spicy. I enjoyed this beer, flavor was a little sweet, and had hints of spices and malts, very nice.

Turbid orangish brown color with a huge head. Aroma of malt, hops, citrus, barnyard. Tastes malty, fruity, with finishing orange, cranberry, toffee, caramel, and even watermelon. Smooth finish with well hidden alcohol and a multitude of flavors that seem to go together. Very complex and enjoyable.

From an 11.2oz bottle. Best before 01/01/07. Tasted at 52 degrees in a tulip glass. Dark brown with a big cream colored head that sticks around, maybe too long. Plenty of lacing. Sweet, malty aroma. Raisins, fruits, sour candies. It takes a minute or two for the nose to open up. Flavor is sweet and has notes of ripe banana, yeast, bread, plums, and malt. Sweetish, dry finish with some nice residual flavors. It is maybe a bit too sweet for me. This was tasted after the Trois Pistoles, I found that to be a more complex beer.
