Is spicy sweet, with a hint of bitter orange. Full bodied, massive, but silky carbonation. This finished nicely with a hidden alcohol warmth. Very tasty beer, this has some deep rich flavors, but never felt heavy. mikalooch (163), , New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Pours deep red-brown with a thin but creamy beige head. Smells sweet, candy and fruit with a bit of yeast. Can taste caramel with ripe fruit with a generous amount of yeast and malt mixed in. Very mellow mouthfell yet not undercarbonated. Like a little less rounded version of the 12, very similar flavor profile. Excellent. (Got a great gift pack with all 4 St Bernardus brews and the signature goblet at Garys!) jb (1034), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Nice looking, brown with dark red highlights. Thick foamy head with thick small bubbles. Hazy. Decent lacing remains. Yeasty, raisins, brown sugar. Tingly palate, sweet up front, ends up doughy and with a graham cracker taste. No alcohol detected. Very nice, of course I love this style. tripelthreat (79), Soquel, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 23, 2008 330ml bottle into goblet. Ruddy dark brown with a medium rocky head. Sweet, slightly vinous nose. Taste of fruity malt, toffee some yeast and a little bit of tartness in the finish. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side with plenty of prickly carbonation, making for a very easy to drink and almost refreshing. Very good. kseecs16 (873), Naperville, Illinois, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Another perfect looking beer from St. Bernard. Pours a perfectly cloudy brown, with a frothy off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma is slightly sour like apple cider, chocolate and cookie dough. Flavor is strong, but not distinctive. Some initial alcohol and yeast, but mainly pit fruits and roasted malts. Palate is fairly carbonated and fizzy, but not as much as the Prater 6. Overall a very good beer. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Shared with pyrozoid. Cloudy dark copper poor with a frothy beige head, little lacing. Aromas of tangerines, apricot, caramel, slightly salty... Very well rounded and balanced mouthfeel. Creamy and sweet, medium carbonation. Amazing fuity and malty flavors... Great brew!
