330 mL bottle. Pours clear; deep mahogany with a thick cap of creamy off white head. Big malts up front, more bread than caramel. Light toffee leads into honeyed fig, overripe banana, molasses. Earthy-spicy Belgian yeast. Mild spicy-Old World hopping. A little sweet with just enough bitter hop to balance out on the drier side. Smooth, moderate to full bodied with high carbonation. Silky-creamy with great sustain. Just a hint of alcohol heat.

Pours hazelnut brown with a white head. Has a nice sweet smell of caramel, burnt sugar, yeast and something earthy. The taste is very fruity but with something roasted. I get some dried fruits, nuts, burnt sugar, and some dark chocolate. The mouth feel is very siruppy.

330ml bottle from the LCBO. Brown body, off-white head. Earthy, wood, some dark fruit on the nose. The real beauty of this beer comes in the palate. It has a wonderfully sessionable and satiating body that is unparalleled. Some bitterness and alcohol presence in the finish, alcohol comes in a nice subtle warmth on the finish only.

Decidedly fruity but drier and more able bodied than its smaller brother Pater 6. Noticeable yeast and a fair bit of acidity. Long fruity finish.

Bottle. Dark Brown, white head. Taste is with coffee, nuts and caramel. This all combines to a nice drinkable beer. After one you probably want another one!
