Nov 13, 2009 330ml bottle picked up at Utobeer in London last August. Huge, beige, head fading slowly over a cloudy, ruby-orange body. Dry, tart fruits to the nose with hints of yeast. Dry fruity taste with subdued candy sweetness. Notes of yeast and bitter spices to the finish. I got an impression of old books while drinking this one. Far from great, but has got its moments of joyful drinking. (Tromsø, 07.11.2009).

Nov 12, 2009 Brown with a large beige head. Aroma is very yeasty, fruity and overall fun with notes of caramell and dark fruit. Mouthfeel is borderlining annoying with plenty of carbonation, works better after awhile in the glass though. Flavour is fat malty, estery and fruity with a somewhat hot and sweet finish.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle. 25.4 oz. Pours light, murky bown with a thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, walnuts, barley, and hints of hops, cinnamon, and figs. Medium bodied with a clean, modest mouthfeel. Crisp, medium finish. Good dubbel.

Nov 11, 2009 Very hazy chesnut color with creamy off white head. Smell is a little less impressive then the 12 but very much in the same line. Smooth malts, bread and raisins. aftertaste is mild, sweet-malty and slight fruity. Slightly less bitter then the 12.

Nov 10, 2009 Cork and cage bottle. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a largish foamy off white head. Aroma is dark fruits, toast, yeast, nutty, some esters. Flavor is nutty, lots of yeast, roasted malts, burnt caramel. lively mouthfeel.

Nov 10, 2009 330ml bottle. Trappist glass. Appears translucent dark brown with a medium beige head that provides good lacing. Rich malty nose of nutty caramel, candy sugar, dark fruits and faint bananas. Palate is full bodied with a smooth creamy mouthfeel and a perfect balance of malt sweetness and soft yeasty spiciness at the finish. An excellent Dubbel.

Oct 27, 2009 Pours a hazy brown with a decent sided tan head. Aroma is candi sugars, belgian yeasts, spices, dark fruits, alcohol, molasses and rasins. Flavor is rasins, candi sugar, yeasts, spices and a bit of alcohol. More full bodied than the 6 and more flavorful as well. Decent Dubbel.
