Bottle. Dark brown body with tan head. Aroma is nice fruity yeasty with slightly roasted caramel and hints of cocoa . Taste is nearly the same with some sourness. Aftertaste is nice balanced.

On tap at Cafe de la Gare. Dark brown with a fine beige head. Dried fruit, caramel, cocoa, figs, raisins, cola. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a sticky sweet aftertaste.

Aroma: raisins, dark caramel, gentle esters- banana, some roast, gentle alcohol, toasty. Pleasant and just right.
Appearance: reddish brown, hazy, off-white head with good retention and great texture.
Taste: similar to aroma, light sweetness, lightly bitter, well balanced.
medium body, creamy, slick feel, lively, long smooth finish, gently warming, slight dryness.
Overall: Nicely balanced, pleasant level of complexity, highly drinkable. Enjoyed it a lot.

330 ml bottle. Pours brown with a large off-white head. Aroma is complex with roasted malt, little hops and slightly yeasty. Head is full of apple aroma. Full body with a slightly syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Taste starts distinctly sweet with a sweet and slightly acidic and bitter ending. Well balanced. Intense roasted malt, honey, hints of mead and alcoholic aftertaste.

Yeasty aroma, I smell dough and cheese, but also sugar. Pours dark golden with a frothy head. Flavour is rich and quite sweet. The after taste tastes sugar. Medium bodied, average carbonation. The sweet flavour lingers. Nice beer.

Deep mahogany with a thin beige head. Caramel. Bread crust. Dark fruit. Some spice. A bit of alcohol. Bigger medium to lighter full body. Soft, a pleasure to drink.

It pours murky mahogany with copper highlights; the head is off white and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: banana, bubblegum, and raisins. The taste is medium sweet and finishes medium bitter; there are notes of the aforementioned aroma compounds. The palate is medium bodied with light carbonation and a medium finish. Overall, it’s basically the same as the 6.

Bottle (11.2oz) Muddy brown color. Big beige head that settle down.Carmel aroma and Belgian yeast. Taste starts out the same but there is more bitterness in the end than I expected.

Taste: spiced, bold earthy, with notes of clove and wild yeast. Complex candi sugar and bread nose.
Brown/amber color, unfiltered with refine bubbled head. Alcohol finish liquid breads that sustained the monks.
