Pours dark brown, brownish head. Aroma of nice dark fruits and yeast. Taste is more pronounced than the Pater 6 version. We again see the use of dark fruits in a more prominent way, and candi sugar. This time around, the 8% abv is more noticeable. Leaves a nice warming feel on the palate.

On tap at De Dulle Griet Ghent. Brown with a white head. Aroma’s of dark fruits and dark malts, not overly roasted but that coffee and chocolate hint which I find so typical for a St.Bernardus. Medium bodied. Very drinkable.

750ml Bottle: Sweet aroma of dark ripe fruits, malts, raisins, pear, sugar, plums, and a hint of chocolate. Poured deep amber/medium brown in color with a small to medium tan head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny and small particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is very sweet. Tastes of raisins, dark fruits, spices, malts, light alcohol, resin, plums, light toffee, and slight chocolate. Medium body. Sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Sweet, resinous, semi-dry finish.

Crush with Jakebra. Very fruity nose, very pleasing. Again, like other St. Bernardi brews, incredibly good mouthfeel, with the carbonation tickling the tongue wonderfully. Flavor yields more treasures. Alcohol completely hidden. Excellent beer.

Bottle poured into tulip. Cloudy brown pour with big rocky tan head. Sweet malty nose; Belgian sugar, caramel, apple. Similar taste with tastes of apple juice and german chocolate cake as well as dried fruits and toffee. Very good, but didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Tasted at Kaunis Kampela. Pale beige head. Clear copper brown colour. Some apple in the nose. Some hints of syrup and malts in the nose. Strong malty taste with some hints of roasted sugar. Proper sourness. Also some hints of cacao in the nose. Some marzipan in the aftertaste-
