Drink this every day youll be as happy as that happy-arsed Monk on the bottle.Beautiful malt complexitey.Yeast strain in this gives cool apple and raisin esters. Wicked.

From tap, nicely balanced but less aromatic then the "12", looks like guiness in a celice glass, beige creamy head, pleasant aroma of fruits (quite weak), malt, chocolate flavors medium-high sweetness with some hops in the aftertaste, real nice but not my top st. Bernardus

Dark brown with huge massive foamy tan/white head. Aroma is of sweet candi sugar, apples, yeast. Flavor is of the same, very fizzy, Belgian yeast funk finish. Great!

Dark brown colour, not carbonated at all. Nice head but not stays so much. You don’t feel alcholh so much. Not so big mouthfeel but has a nice aroma. Classical abbey ale scent. Caramel.!!. Such a great beer.

Aroma: Sweet malts, cream, caramel, a bit nutty. Appearance: Dark brown, ruby highlights that are almost purple. Thick beige head, good retention, temporary sheets of lace. Flavor: Dark malts, getting darker as each sip progresses, cream, caramel, toffee, chocolate ... and then an abrupt finish. Intermittent insights of dark fruit, chiefly plum wine. Palate: Dry despite the sweet malts. As each sip is savored, it seems to effervesce its way into a dry nothingness that has vanished from the tongue.

330 ml bottle. Deep red brown color with lots of sediment flakes, big but disappering beige head. Came out of the bottle by itself - what a mess!! Aroma is fruity (plum), sweet and spicy. Flavor is also sweet and fruity, with the typical Belgian touch, maybe from the yeast. Hints of warming alcohol. All in all a nice one from Belgium.

poured from 750mL into widemouth glass. Toffee color and very effervescent - crazy carbonation. more caramel and toffee then dark fruit, slight burnt sugar. phenomenal lacing.

Very nice earthy tones and overall nuttiness to the nose and taste. Very fulfilling feeling when you have just taken a nice swig of this beauty. Yummy beer...give it a shot!
