The head is extremely nice, silky smooth and lasting. It leaves islands of foam on the surface. The aroma is spicy and hoppy and the mouthfeel is nice and full. The flavour has a nice body, it’s spicy and the alcohol burns a bit. It has notes of nuts, figs, ripe plums and other stone fruits. In the finish an unexpected but nice bitterness turns up together with brief notes of smoke. This beer should not be too warm, and I would like more complexity - but nice it is.

small bottle: pours with a thick creamy off white head with lacing. head last suring the drinking experience. this hovers over a dark caramel brown body. aroma is wonderful full of dark sugars and a great amount of fresh fruit such as sweet cherries, also has a great belgian yeast aromas. flavour is yeasty and dark sugaars at first ans them some darker fruits plums and raisins. finishes drying.

330ml. pours true deep ruby. perfect head. high amount of sediment. deep, complex aromas of candied ripe fruits. i wish they made candles of this aroma. while the taste mirrors the aroma, it adds the as-advertised ’malty palate’ and takes away the overtly candied aspect. there’s also a touch of cinnamon or clove on the palate. i could drink this all day long. if it weren’t for that pesky job...

It is dark red and pours a big head good lasting. The aroma is of figs, malt and swedness. The flavor is of Belgian candy, dark fruit and malty sweetness. What a great beer.

Draught. Dark opaque reddish beer with minimal head. Light cherry aroma. Flavor is cherry, oak, and well-rounded sweetnesses. Sharp and creamy mouthfeel with a smooth finish and a biting aftertaste hinting at the abv.
