| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 6, 2008 The head is extremely nice, silky smooth and lasting. It leaves islands of foam on the surface. The aroma is spicy and hoppy and the mouthfeel is nice and full. The flavour has a nice body, it’s spicy and the alcohol burns a bit. It has notes of nuts, figs, ripe plums and other stone fruits. In the finish an unexpected but nice bitterness turns up together with brief notes of smoke. This beer should not be too warm, and I would like more complexity - but nice it is. mcbackus (738), Merritt Island, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2008 330ml. pours true deep ruby. perfect head. high amount of sediment. deep, complex aromas of candied ripe fruits. i wish they made candles of this aroma. while the taste mirrors the aroma, it adds the as-advertised ’malty palate’ and takes away the overtly candied aspect. there’s also a touch of cinnamon or clove on the palate. i could drink this all day long. if it weren’t for that pesky job... uhre (339), Denmark
