ekstedt (2411), Göteborg, Sweden Dec 9, 2007 Bottle (33 cl) at Tre små rum, Göteborg, Sweden. Murky reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Fruity and toffeish malt aroma, delicious, with some wooden notes and yeast. Medium bodied and smooth. Good balance with a dry finish. Very good but lacks complexity. vanhorstmann (2), aversa, Italy does not count Dec 5, 2007 Al naso il floreale prevale quasi da subito su una lievissima nota di tostato.
Il caramello sembra prevalere pur alternandosi a frutta secca, dolce.
Ottima! nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Dec 4, 2007 Updated: Sep 14, 20080.33l, bb 19 04 12. Turbulent and hazy, dark orange-brown with a huge creamy head leaving nice frosting. Spicy biscuit, caramel, rum and cola aroma. Big, delicious flavors of dry-spiced raisin rum cake with brown sugar-caramel icing are tempered nicely by some dry, bitterish hops and yeast. Nearly medium body, with a lot of tingle. Only complaint about this beer is that it literally fizzles apart and explodes with CO2! Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 2, 2007 From a bottle, poured a very deep, almost opaque brown-chestnut body. Bold, thick off-white head with great lacing. Sweet medicinal candied nose. Rich, syrupy mouth feel. Rich and gritty. Not my bag, but it could be because I had cellared it over a year. radagast83 (1273), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Nov 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours a thick hazy brown color with a tan head. The beer has a very caramel and dark fruit aroma, heavy on the malts. The flavor is caramel, fruit, and something I just can’t put my finger on. The alcohol is noticeable. This beer is one of the more complex that I’ve had in recent months. jalichio999 (502), Brazil Nov 21, 2007 Garrafa, em Utrecht (HOL), em novembro de 2007. Coloração preta turva, com creme bege consistente e persistente. Carbonatação alta. Notas de torrefação e frutas vermelhas. Levemente amarga e seca. Não é tão bem balanceada. StompBrockmore (300), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 21, 2007 33cl bottle - pours very hazy, dark brown with a big light tan head. Creamy. Aroma of lots of dark fruit, caramel, malts, lots of yeast, typical of this line of beers. Flavour is full of wheat and sweet fruit, including cherries and apple, caramel again, with a light sour tart quality in the finish. Fantastic. Bullit (1300), Glasgow, Scotland Nov 21, 2007 Brown colour with thick and creamy head. Aroma has caramel, dark fruits and malts. Flavour is sweet caramel with some fruits. Alcohol well noticable. Good beer.
