11.2 ounce in Westmalle glass. Brown with dense lasting tan head and lotsa lace. A few floaters. Yeasty aroma with some caramel and more yeast. Raisiny, fruity caramel flavor with tobacco bitterness surprisingly clean finish. Medium body and medium low carbonation. Excellent soft mouthfeel. A very good beer.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown with a decent off-white head. Malty fruit aroma with some chocolate and liquorice. The flavour had a touch of caramel with some spice and a long, smooth finish. Excellent.

11.2 oz bottle, poured into trappist glass. Pours with a murky red brown with a very light, soapy head. A rich, complex aroma of sweet malt and citrus. The flavor starts off strong, with the malt and citrus matched with caramel and coffee undertones. A lingering coffee aftertaste. This beer is great, complex, interesting, just about what you’d expect from St. Bernardus.

Pours nice chestnut brown with great head leaving nice lacing on the glass. Souring oaky scents are noticed as well as aromas of yeast, fruits and citrus. The flavor itself is a tad souring, oaky with cherry, vanilla, alcohol, dusty malt, cardboard, with funky yeast touches and a crisping acidityand carbonation. Not what I expected but good nonetheless.
