3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cryotek (206) - Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA - MAY 4, 2008Smells like a spicey plum. Nice dark dirty brown color. The plum scent tastes more like a spicey licorice stick or rasin with a little bitterness. ABV is very well hidden, good beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Hopswagger (36) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 18, 2013
P: A murky dirty dark pond water body with a creamy froth of khaki head with excellent retention.
S: Salty caramel apples, roasted cinnamon and sugar coated pecans, sweet molasses, dark candy sugar, prunes, subtle herbal gum and a syrupy sweetness.
T/M: Roasted caramel and dark sugar malt with a spicy phenolic fruit profile. Smoldered grain, boozy prunes, old school gum, sugary pecan pound cake, green and red apples and roasted ground spices. Prickly carbonation in a medium body. Finish has a burnt barley flavor and lightly smoked wood.
O: Good stuff but I think I like Pator 6 better. Good balance of flavors and a huge dose of spice.

33cl from Auchan (Luxembourg). It pours a hazy brown with a thick white and persistent head. Some notes of alcohol, yeast and fruit in the aroma. Medium carbonation. Light sweet flavour that ends dry, asking for another sip. A good beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 EddyBeer1 (132) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUN 17, 2013
Brune foncée, pétillance moyenne, mousse qui tombe rapidement. Moyennement fruitée (raisins, cerises du nord, prunes), un rien surette, présence de caramel. Une réussite de plus pour St Bernardus!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Tortman18 (105) - Batavia, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Pours a dark brown, with a interesting purple hue, when in the light. Finger of off-white head that leaves moderate lacing. Nose is very sweet with a lot of malt character. strong presence of dark fruits, mainly raisin and plum. Spice, yeast and hints of alcohol. Mouth is also very sweet with yeast, plum, raisin, spices (a lot of nutmeg) caramel and malt. Creamy feel with a very dry finish and a mix of carbonation.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 jmalecki05 (22) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Light pour in the St Bernardus glass. Full bottle pour with yeast. Very dark red in color. Buttercream colored head about 1.5 fingers of head with tight bubbles. Aroma is very pleasant with sour cherry tones (almost a kriek) and sweet malts. Very creamy and enjoyable on the palate. Initial sweetness on the palate followed by classic dubbel notes of malt, dark cherry and very light yeast. Zero hop bitterness. Finish leaves a slight warming sensation which prepares you for the next sip. This is a great beer. Wouldja - Yes
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 OKplus (560) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 7, 2013
11.2oz served into a Chimay chalice. Best by: 20/07/16
A - Garnet brown with an active cream colored head that never breaks.
S - Spice bread, earthy yeast, dates, raisin, toasted banana, cinnamon, nutmeg, alcohol vapors.
T - Figs, nutmeg, spice bread, dark Belgian candy, green banana, dark cherries, plums, herbal spice bitterness. Really dries off on the finish.
M - Moderate airy carbonation, heavy side of medium.
This hits all the marks of an incredible Abbey ale. A well constructed beer with great flowy carbonation, dark fruits, rich bready malts, interesting spice profile, and a snappy dry finish.
I only wish I had a 750ml instead of on 11.2oz bottle.

3ccl bottle. pours rak brown with a small fast diminishing head. Aroma is malty, fruity, plumy with some hints of alchool. Flavour is sweet, fruity, again you can slighty feel the alchool but in a great way. More dry finish but great
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bonkiedeaap (46) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2013
Bought a bottle at Bert’s Bierhuis. Aroma of cloves and cinnamon, and a nice sweetness of raisins and caramel. Has a dark brown color and a nice light brown head, is well carbonated. Taste is semi-sweet and has a slightly bitter taste. The beer is well balanced and has a full finish. Afterall, this one is better than Bernardus Pater.
