aroma is yeasty and a little nutty. pours dark brown with a light tan head. flavor is somewhat tart and sweet, flavors of apples and belgan yeast. i really have trouble putting my finger on flavors in belgan beers, but i do know that I enjoyed this beer and would seek it out again

Bottle. Cloudy deep brown color, with a large dark head, a bit lacing. Aroma is a sweet mixture of caramel, chocolate, vanilla and raisin. Taste is dominated by dried fruits, chocolate and malted flavors, very balanced, alcohol is pretty hidden. Creamy, medium bodied. Great Dubbel.

Nice dubbel. Funky monks. Flea giving Clara a bath is a sweet scene. John falling apart on film is sad.

Cerveja com corpo e malte como destaques, muito saborosa, intenso teor alcoólico bem inserido e agradavelmente percebido no palato, cerveja com a cara da escola belga.

From a 33 cl bottle at home. Pours a cloudy brown with a massive beige head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavors of caramel, toffee and a hint of banana. Huge carbonation provides a lively but smooth mouthfeel. Slightly bitter finish.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, clear chestnut brown pour with foam off white head, quite sweet nutty aroma, taste is firstly sweet brown sugar with bready malts a lot of dried fruit action, I detect some clove and spice the mouthfeel is quite viscous and luxurious.

Bottle. Poured muddy brown, thin head, delicate lacing. Awesomely sour nose with caramel, malt, some cherry. Medium carbonation, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. 8 percent alcohol present but not over the top. Warming, balanced and satisfying.

deep brown color. Strong malt nose, similar to brewing smell. Complex flavor, but short in the finish. Cleans up quickly.
