StompBrockmore (300), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 21, 2007 33cl bottle - pours very hazy, dark brown with a big light tan head. Creamy. Aroma of lots of dark fruit, caramel, malts, lots of yeast, typical of this line of beers. Flavour is full of wheat and sweet fruit, including cherries and apple, caramel again, with a light sour tart quality in the finish. Fantastic.
Blom (590), Odense, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Dark brown with a low head. Yeasty and fruity aroma that can also be traced in the flavours, that are full of plums, prunes, liquorice, alcohol and brown sugar. BoBoChamp (308), Gent, Belgium Jul 22, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, more easy to drink than the Abt, balanced, cloudy, good head, good brew cb23 (73), St. louis, Missouri, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a moderate white head that produced good lacing. Smelled very predominately of sweet fruit and raisins. The taste was about the same with added noted of banana. Dominated by the malt. Very good beer, although I preferred their Trippel to this brew. Better than Chimay which has much more hype to it. zappafan99 (256), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 13, 2008 Taste 7/8 (Bottle 8/11/11) Looks: Dark brown, thin white head, with yeasty pattern.
