redish brown color, malty rum raisiny nose. Big malt flavor, biscuit/candi sugar and port like. I did not detect any sourness, and it’s a perfect beer on a cold winter night. my favorite from saint bernard.

Bottle. Pours cloudy reddish with a huge, mostly lasting off-white head. Good lacing. Grape and plum aromas, delicious fruity notes and some citrus too. Brown sugar. Bold and spicy, fruity flavours with a yeasty boost. A bit sour in a very nice way. Very well balanced alcohol... and I’m usually picky about this. Toasted caramel, some soft blackberry-like flavours but not overwhelming. Good, but I prefer others.

0,33 l Flasche aus einem lokalen REWE-Markt. Kastanienbraun, mäßig Kohlensäure, schöne feinporige Schaumkrone. Riecht süßlich, nach Hefe, Karamell, Teig. Im Geschmack ähnlich, kaum bitter. Fast wie ein Likör

From a bottle bought at the Vineyard, Belfast. Nice frothy long lasting head, deep dark brown appearence, refreshing hay aroma, bitter/sweet taste and lovely long malty palate. One to go back to again!

330ml bottle. Clear black tea body, medium beige head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of raisins, yeast, leaves, caramel. Taste of yeast, dough, caramel. A tad metallic and strongly carbonated. Ok.

Dark brown color with a long lasting beige foam head. The nose has licorice and heavy yeasty notes. The taste is well balanced with a little too belgian carbonation. Licorice and sweet yeasty and malty parts work well together. Calm aftertaste. This beer is a very nice representative of its style.

A fruity raisin like aroma, pours a hazy dark brown color with a tan well laced head that lasts. A fruity raisin taste with a full body and a malty Belgian yeast finish.

Caramel color pour that settles murky brown with very active fizzy off white head. Smells of sweet fruit, yeast, and a slight musk. Fairly strong carbonation in the mouth. Medium body. Flavor is heavy caramel, slight fruity notes, straw/hay. Flavor profile is nice and doesn’t lean heavily in any direction.

Bottl (one of those whacky 11.2 oz sized ones the fuckin Europeans use). Pours a burnt sienna color, off white head with not much retention to speak of. Nose is dried fruit, a little bit o’ funk, band aids, vanilla, toffee, malt. Mouth is medium-full and creamy, sharply carbonated, relatively dry, hints of cider, banana, spice, toasted pumpernickel, fair amount of dried fruit (figs, raisins and prunes), reminiscent of whiskey without the charcoal. Solid.
