Wow, this is a flavorful beer! With a dark hazy brown color and a slightly sour smell it has a rich and a vibrant flavor with grainy aspects and a full body. IT lingers for a while and leaves you coming back for more. One of the best of the best, after all it is a Belgian beer....

Pours brown & bubbly. Aroma is odd: I can’t quite place it but Mrs Tiki says it reminds her of a mechanic’s garage (she assures me this is a good thing). Flavour is a trip to the candy shop: melted rock candy meets dried fruit with a malt twang that hides some of the sugar. A great sipper. Bottle pulled from 6 pack sampler at the LCBO. Recommend.

Pours a deep hazy brown aroma of raisins and prunes with some rummy notes. Flavor has more of the rummy notes, some acidity and raisiny fruitiness. Delicious beer.

Rispetto alla Pater 6, la prior 8 è molto più matura. Colore marrone, con un corpo ben strutturato, una buona presenza di malti, risulta essere molto corposa e rotornda e vellutata alla bevuta

330 mL bottle. Pours clear; deep mahogany with a thick cap of creamy off white head. Big malts up front, more bread than caramel. Light toffee leads into honeyed fig, overripe banana, molasses. Earthy-spicy Belgian yeast. Mild spicy-Old World hopping. A little sweet with just enough bitter hop to balance out on the drier side. Smooth, moderate to full bodied with high carbonation. Silky-creamy with great sustain. Just a hint of alcohol heat.

Braun, schaumig. Dunkle Früchte, Hefe, dunkler Zucker, leicht alkoholisch. Am Gaumen dunkle Früchte, Malz, Röstnoten, brauner Zucker, herb. Vollmundig.

lesifflebiere (1326) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 8, 2014

Pours hazelnut brown with a white head. Has a nice sweet smell of caramel, burnt sugar, yeast and something earthy. The taste is very fruity but with something roasted. I get some dried fruits, nuts, burnt sugar, and some dark chocolate. The mouth feel is very siruppy.
