August 2012. From bottle. A case somehow made it to my local bottle retailer who was nice enough to reserve one for me. Pours golden color with nose of yeast, clove and fruits. Not a bad brew.

glennmastrange (2331) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2013
Bottle. Light to moderate grain and cereal for the malt, flowers and herbs for the hops, musty for the yeast, with hints of honey and pepper. Head is large, frothy/fizzy, slightly off-white with excellent crusty lacing and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling clear to start but hazy on the last pour, light amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, slick with a lively carbonation. A nice grainy Witbier with a lot of character.

It is fairly clear with a wonderful thick head. A great aroma of citrus & spice. It has a very nice full mouthfeel but is a bit light on the carbonation. The orange/citrus shines through and is extremely well-balanced by a spicy bite. Very refreshing! A fantastic Belgian Witbier, try it if you have the chance.

0.75l corked bottle from Etrè. This is a heavy hazy yellow-orange - almost on the border of murky-one with a nice medium sized and lacing off-white top. The nose has tons of wheat and coriander, but also a good sweetness - almost like bubble gum, and there is also traces of dried dusty hay here. Smells quite nice, nothing extraordinary but quite nice. It’s quite lively on the carbonation this, and the mouthfeel is light oily. It’s not your everyday wit this. Yes, it has the classic wheaty and spiced-up flavor with some yeast, coriander and pepper, but there is also a subtle trace of licorice, sea water and something both bitter and slightly acidic. Quite light drinkable this. Ends with traces of Belgian yeast and alcohol. Only traces of them, but they are definitely there. I liked this, even if it’s not the best wit I’ve had. 12.11.2012

Bottle courtesy of weihenweizen. Orange, wheat malt ,and coriander aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with a large white head. Sweet orange, creamy wheat, light spicy flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Flavor and aroma indicated some oxidation. I suspect the bottle was past its prime.
