Commercial Description:
This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a cloudy, yellow orange body with a finger-width, white, quickly dissipating head that leaves lots of soft lacing. Aroma of floral tropical fruits. Mild yeast and banana bread with just a hint of spices. More raisin and caramel comes in as this warms. Flavor is more bready and caramel influenced than the aroma hints at. Very soft. Still has some tropical fruits, but more of a raisin. Finishes with mild caramels, yeast, raisin, toffee cake, and an even mix of banana and tropical citrus. Some soft spices dry this out. Not a lot of aftertaste, just a light fruity cloying malt. Medium bodied and very smooth. Overall, a decent tripel. Mild, complex, and flavorful, but too soft...which makes for a nice body and balance, but pretty average.

dark gold with massive white head. great fruity aroma that becomes a bit more yeasty as it warms. excellent mouthfeel, hardly any sensing of the alcohol. Enjoyable flavor of tart fruit and spice-- like banana great almost, as was mentioned below.

Beer pours a slight cloudy beige, a tinge of orange comes shinning through when the light hits it just right, a quarter inch noisy white head capped off the brew that left behind some nice sticky lacing, there small floaters everywhere in the body. Aroma is apple juice with strong alcohol presence, wheat can be detected but alcohol dominates this sharp smelling beer. Sharp yeast and very noticeable alcohol comprise most of the taste , the alcohol seems way stronger than the 8% that’s actually in it. The warmer the brew got the smoother it got and more darker bitter tasting malt flavors came out. The brew is one you can’t slam back more of a sipping brew, taste way more harsh then most triples I’ve had, it made my stomach feel very warm and I guess was disappointing compared to most of this style.

11.2 ounce bottle from Mission Valley Bevmo (San Diego, CA). Pours a cloudy light amber color with a big thick white head that has a lot of staying power. Aroma of yeast, light spice, and some light citrus (lemon/orange). Tastes of yeast and lightly sweet malts accented by spice and some fruitiness. Finish is dry and has just a bit of tartness that is quite pleasant. Not outstanding, but still a very good "standard" tripel.

Poured hazy orangish golden, smooth, and clean, tropical fruits, little yeasty, little spicey, little caramel.

Rating #300. Pours a hazy shade of ice-tea with a big, willowy white head. Aroma of spicy Belgian yeast, rasins, and bread. Taste is . . . hard to pinpoint. It’s sweet and spicy, certainly not bad, but kind of bland really. Has a smooth, slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is soft with moderate carbonation. Alcohol is very well-hidden. Good beer, it’s very drinkable, but the taste is too uneventful for me to say that it’s really enjoyable.

Light golden color. Cloudy with a tinge of grapefruit and a significant head that lasts throughout. The nose is similar to banana bread with some yeastiness and spice apparent. Very smooth entry and transition to a finish that is lemony, with noticeable ripe banana. Some spiciness present along with very little evidence of the high alcohol level. Easy to drink.

Pop the cap and the pour is a dark, complex golden hue that brings a nearly perfect fluffy white head. Carbonation is precise which allows the flavors of a signature yeast, fruits, and various spices. This is just such a good, good beer. A refreshing blend of fruits and yeast that adds up to my favorite Tripel. Mmmm - LC
