chmurarz (401), Raciborz now Legnica, Poland Mar 29, 2009 bottled 330ml bought in Watou 100 meters from the brewery
app ; medium lasting white head, hazy amber body, visible lively carbonation
aro ; very mature malts collection, of course yeast and orange
tast ; very tangy, at the beggining difficult to determine the taste, strong yeast, is it wheat beer? no , the label does not support this thought, says clearly "Barley malt", some citron notes an the finish, also some alcohol is easy no notice, after all it is 8%, also pepper in palate as one of me predecessors noted, the rest of my opinion in given by the ratings beerdad (74), Kansas, USA Mar 25, 2009 Bottled. Pours cloudy golden color with a strong white head. Smells of orange and grapefruit with a touch of grass and hops. Flavors are as above with yeast, raisins and clove. It finishes evenly with little alcohol. Decent triple--i’ll see if it can bottle age over the year. JCastner (102), New York, USA Mar 23, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange/tan with a white creamy head. Yeast chunks floating. Aroma is of biscuits, coriander (always seems to be there), some oranges, and a little spice from the yeast. Not too complex, even after it was allowed to warm. Medium/Full bodied. Very sweet at the front, some tart fruitiness in the finish - I even noticed a bit of vanilla. Nice. Overall, very smooth and easy to drink. The alcohol was well hidden. Solid. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Mar 22, 2009 Pours out of the 330ml bottle a hazy golden orange with a white head that has very good retention. Aroma has loads of orange zest, coriander, yeast, spice, and floral notes. Tastes very bright, no alcohol showing at all, and not overly sweet for a triple. Orange, apricot, lemon, bubblegum like yeast, cloves, and coriander. Mouth feel is very nice, and so is this beer. I love this brewery! Pinball (2678), Allerød, Denmark Mar 17, 2009 75cl corked bottle at home.
caution. if you don’t pour quickly you’ll spill some beer as it rushes out the uncorked bottle.
unckear orange with a large thick that goes messy white head. very nice mild fresh and fruity orangy citrussy aroma, spices. even some wheatbeer notes although i doubt wheat has been used.
flavor is stronger than aroma, a bit sweeter, but down the same lane. orange, citrus, nice balance, some bitterness to match in the end. quite fruity in a very fresh and flowery way.
after writing all this, the beer has started to push up foam again, even though i poured a large 33cll glass from it. quite lively. GMUcrew7 (353), Mason, Ohio, USA Mar 13, 2009 Pours hazy tinted yellow color with a booming, frothy white head that leaves good lacing as it dissipates. Very yeasty and spiced malt based aroma. Peachy and apricot flavor with a heavy dose of cloves. Yeast and alcohol are noticeable at the finish. Dry, yet full bodied, very good beer. Pwn3d (1036), Manhattan, New York, USA Mar 10, 2009 11.2 oz bottle from New Beer Distributors, NYC. Pour a hazy golden yellow orange with good amounts of granulated sediment floaters. Nice looking white head. Mouth is peppery, apricot, bready, and cloves. This beer kicks ass (3.95) ben4321 (946), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 10, 2009 Location: 750 from Gilly’s March ’09
Aroma: Strong fruit and some citrus, flowery hints as well
Appearance: Hazy, golden orange, think foamy white head, lots of movement, really nice looking beer
Flavor: Fruity sharpness, more sweet then sour, malts and yeast
Palate: Full body, strong mouthfeel, lots of carbonated
Overall Impression:
This was a really solid, well made tripel, with a bold, but somehow well-balanced sweetness.
