Beer info: Bottled in brown 330ml bottle 8.0% abv bb 13 07 11
Sampling Notes:
Served lightly chilled in chalice.
Pours a picturesque hazy orange gold body with a thick, creamy persistant white cap of foam.
Ripe fruits on the nose, apricot and peach come to mind, possibly some pineapple and banana. Bit of rich, sugary maltiness in the mix seems to deliver the message that this is a big beer, citrus, peppery and clovey phenols are lifting with temp rise.
Nice big mouthfeel, creamy with a lively carbonation. Quite a prominant drying mid-palate gives away its hefty abv.
Excellent body of flavour; perfume and peppery spice, stonefruits, bitter orange bringing forth a jolt of citric sharpness. Some malty sweetness in the works, finishing very dry, warming with a lingering clove spice.
Damn well made Tripel. Bit on the dry side, especially on the finish, but the flavour is what makes this beer. NDbeerdrinker (164), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Mar 8, 2009 Pours a hazy golden yellow with a 2 1/2 finger white pillowy head. Lots of sediment floating around. Aroma is yeasty, spices, some citrus in there as well. Smooth drinking, and full bodied. Perfect amount of spice in the taste. Well balanced beer. cab (861), Denmark Mar 7, 2009 Bottle.70cl. sweet aroma, with yeasty piney citrus in there somewhere. another monstrous head on a belgian beer, peach, apricot to mango. Very nice. Robust with grapefruit-like palate and clove-like tones. Light and cloudy but not watery at all. Not too sweet, nice head. Just a little less carbonated than I like.
