St. Bernardus Tripel

Pours a deep hazy orange color with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is very nicely fruity and lightly spicy. Some citrus and banana notes with definite wheat. Flavor starts out with some straight up malt and sugar. Quickly gains a fruitiness that is mainly the banana yeast but with some mild citrus and even some tiny bubble gum notes. Finishes long and sweet but with some nice spices that keep it balanced. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice abbey tripel. Easy to drink and well balanced.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine and More in Tampa. Aroma is very citrusy...quite nice. Color is honey colored. Thick head that dissipates slowly and leaves lacing all the way down the mug. Flavor is fairly mild, with a hint of alcohol. Definately flowery hops...little bit of citrus. Fairly tame on the palate...Overall I like it...very drinkable with pretty good flavor...The damn head never went away...I had to rinse the fizz out of the bottom of the mug...A good beer though. Nice drink.

Nice light yellow color on the pour. Lively flower/fruit nose. Flavors of light banana, citrus, yeast. Bitter sweet, good.

Pours an odd amber/ straw color with a live white head. Sour aroma with fruit and spice. Very live. Lots of carbonation. Slightly sour flavor with floral and fruity tones. Quite enjoyable.

Very good. Nice big head gives off a great aroma. Cloudy amber color. Big flavor that hangs on well after you’re done.

Dark, cloudy apple juice color with a large empty bubble foam head that dissipates pretty quick. Aroma of yeast, stone, lime, etc. Heavy carbonation. Flavor is tart, yeasty, hickory, etc. Fizzy on the palate, but in a mild way. Finish is lively and lighter.

Excellent. Very fruity on the nose and high carbonation gives a great mouthfeel and awesome flavor. Not usually big on tripels, but this one kicked ass.

From bottle. Pours cloudy dark golden with a thick white head. Standard tripel aromas of yeast, banana, spices and citrus. Flavors include spice, caramel and floral hops. Very nice.
