Aug 4, 2008 Very sweet and spicy, with a very powerful malty backbone. I really liked that there was that authentic belgian yeastiness but there was also a complimenting sourness and sweetness to chalk up the complexity of this beer. Really very good.

Jul 27, 2008 Everything you expect in a Tripel. Pours a hazy dark orange color. Thin white head with decent retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet fruit (cherries) and yeast. Alcohol is noticeable in the aroma, but less so in the taste. Flavor is fruity, with some citrus, and lots of honey and caramel sweetness. Nice clean finish.

Jul 27, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy antique gold with a moderate white head that faded to an uneven film after about two-thirds of the glass and left a coating of foam after each sip. Surprisingly light aroma with a few whiffs of malt, yeast and some fruit. Much more flavorful than the aroma suggests with rich malt, caramel, fruit and yeast. Lovely, light silky mouthfeel. No hint of the 8% abv. Very nice!

smell is of sweet fruit, some citrus, yeast, few spices.
taste is over carbonated, peach, pear, spice, pepper, ends is bitter and dry.

Jul 21, 2008 Bottled: Pours a thin fine white head with a cloudy orange color. The smell of this beer was great with its full aroma of bananas balanced well with malt and other fruit. Taste very fruity with a bitter bite on the end. Good!

Jul 21, 2008 Quickly dissipating head, which leaves an oily looking lacing. Hazy, unfiltered orange color. Really carbonated appearance at first, but that changes as the carbonation starts to fizz out. Powerfull fruity aroma. Champagne-like... quite tart. Citrusy taste. Rather sweet. Grape taste in there, which makes you think you are drinking champagne if you don’t look at the beer too closely. Some syrupy taste in there as well. Not as dry as other tripels.
