Collint (450), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottle, pours a white long lasting head with a big lacing. aroma is sweet like bananas, color is dark golden. citrus honey sweet. Pretty good i would drink this again! TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottled: Pours a thin fine white head with a cloudy orange color. The smell of this beer was great with its full aroma of bananas balanced well with malt and other fruit. Taste very fruity with a bitter bite on the end. Good! mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Jul 21, 2008 Quickly dissipating head, which leaves an oily looking lacing. Hazy, unfiltered orange color. Really carbonated appearance at first, but that changes as the carbonation starts to fizz out. Powerfull fruity aroma. Champagne-like... quite tart. Citrusy taste. Rather sweet. Grape taste in there, which makes you think you are drinking champagne if you don’t look at the beer too closely. Some syrupy taste in there as well. Not as dry as other tripels. gator2683 (133), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Jul 20, 2008 bottle. golden color with fluffy white head. smells nice with citrus and yeast. starts sweet and a little fruity, then some spice and bitterness. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jul 20, 2008 just want to say thanks to mr.moneyman for my two bottles, much appreciated ... interesting brew ... some honey and belgian honeycomb blocks of caramel .... is a tasty little morsel ... never wear sunglasses at night.. would have to say this is a very mellow trippel, maybe to much for some... cb23 (97), St. louis, Missouri, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a coppery-amber color with a moderate white head that produced nice lacing. Smelled of raisins and a earthy wheat/yeast aroma. The taste was an interesting combination of the bitterness in the hops and the sweet raisin and fruity malt. Masked the high 8% alcohol content maybe a bit too well..... My favorite St. Bernardus Brew! carruthm (1110), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 13, 2008 dark yellow/orange with an aggressive white head. good mix of spices and yeast in the nose and a taste to match, clean and good. chokmah33 (115), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 9, 2008 Light lemon aroma, fresh pear, apple, sour yeast, wheat. Perfumey floral sweetness.
Wheats up front, earthy sourness builds thru mid, along with some yeast. Light sweet lemon peel and a hint of spice. The belgian funk and alchohol are subdued, very tasty.
Killer silky texture on the rough + dry palate.
Such a good Trip, very restrained and well balanced.
