This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

Pours hazy orange with a beautiful lasting, thick white head. Great lacing. Malty aroma with some clear yeasty hints. Some ripe fruits as well and also a slight spicy touch. Nice and complex. World class. Taste is smooth and perfectly balanced between sweet, roasty and bitter. Beautiful honeyish hints, nice yeasty kick, clear caramels/sugars, lingering ripe fruits and a spicy kick. Midly dryish in the aftertaste, but the fruity sweetness never fades away. Full bodied, great creamy texture and a fitting, not too lively carbonation. Wonderful balance accompanied with great complexity. Marvellous piece of beer-art and definitely a fantastic tripel.

Bottle. Pours a huge glass of foam. No, seriously, I had to wait a good five minutes to get beer out of this. When it finally calms down, we have a lovely hazy gold with the most creamy, fine-grained, even white head I’ve ever seen -- this is whipped cream here, I can get soft peaks out of it with a finger. There’s so much head it mutes the nose, but what there is is lemon, toast, yeast, and phenols. Rich and sweet on the tongue; there’s some sourness and breadiness to balance it, and it’s a nicely restrained, delicate, elegant tripel, almost perfect in how well it hangs together. Finish is long, warm, and slightly sweet. A magnificent example of the style.

St. Bernardus Tripel is a lightly hazy medium golden pour with a big head of off white bubbles. Nose is yeasty with some banana notes. Taste is slightly tart with some bread like qualities and a hint of wine. The body is really lush. a very nice Belgian.

750 ml. Lightly hazy golden amber body has a humongous meringue of foam that settles to a spongy disc after a couple of minutes. Nose is beeswax, spicy honey, papaya and evergreen resin. Tastes of beeswax, resin, honey, mango, toast and white wine. Medium body has a nice dry bias despite the big malts. Medium-high carbonation is appropriate to carry the brew, though it seems just a bit boozy for only 8%.
