3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl in a St. Bernardus glass. Pours a very pale straw colour with a billowing white head. Very floral and dry but well balanced. Gets better the more you drink. Not in the same class as the Prior 8 or ABT of the same range but good nonetheless.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 33cL. Home. After opening, slow white foam arises. A good omen for. A yellow brown hazy beer with a large fine , persistant head. Sediment of yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma of spices, herbs, bread, alcohol and lemon. Medium sweetness with light bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Long bitter refreshing finish. A very good beer. Good balance.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle poured into a St Bernardus Trippel glass. Golden hazy body with a thick frothy head. Aroma and taste are pure Belgian Trippel with the expected balance between sweet and sour. Very well done!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cL bottle into a bowl shaped glass. Golden-orange with a huge head, and its gassy. Sweet, hoppy aroma. Smooth, malty and a touch sweet. Light (for the abv) and tasty tripel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ar: Orange rind, peach, a touch of pineapple - a little black pepper.
Ap: Golden-orange, slightly hazy - large head with good retention, leaves a semi-even foam cap and a few spikes of lacing.
T: Soft sugary orange, peach - moss and cloves - a hint of banana - medium-low bitterness with a clean, warming alcohol - more citrus, leafy bitterness, and a refined sugary quality - a bit of sherry oxidation.
P: Medium-light body with high carbonation - finish is very dry.
O: Nice, drinkable tripel - a fair degree of complexity, with a mixture of fruit and spice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle from Beers of Europe website (£2.69):
Lively & fruity as well with some orange and citrus notes on top of an apple and grape base. Naturally the beer is quite sweet as a result of the fruits and comes with some sugar and some peppery spice too with alcohol well hidden.
Orange/amber with 0.5cm of tiny white bubbles and plenty of visible carbonation. Head retention is good considering the strength & it holds for a few minutes.
Sweet with orange & citrus plus some grapes and a little Belgian yeast on top of some banana too although this is quite light and barely detectable at first. There is a floral, almost perfume like taste that starts to come through alongside some tropical fruits and some peppery spice.
Crisp and lively with plenty of carbonation and a medium body that is quite sweet and dry, particularly towards the end of the beer. The beer had a great balance to it with the fruits all coming together well to completely hide the alcohol in the beer.
One that I quite enjoyed and one that despite the strength went down quite easily thanks to the good balance between fruits and the lively carbonation. I was expecting the beer to be a good one and it didn’t disappoint and despite the fact the finish was a dry one.

This brew is very sweet. Tastes a bit like pineapple juice not as good as I was anticipating.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle poured into snifter. Hazy golden body with foamy white head that dissipates at a decent rate. Smells of lemon, straw and caramel malt. Tastes include lemon, citrus, grassy straw and a hint of the alcohol. Solid tripel, will be enjoying again soon.
