3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poursa hazy peach-orange color. Aroma is faint and slightly alcoholic with hints of citrus. Flavor isnít as bold and robust as some of the other Bernardus brews. More citrus than dark fruit and oak. More carbonated it seems too. Not bad. Just not what I expected.

33cl from tap @ De Fiere Margriet, Leuven
Hazy orange, large head, lasting quite long.
Nose has some fruit,spice, apricot.
Taste had a lot of sweet fruityness. Like candied apricots. A bit alcohol and bitterness in the finish. OK beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small bottle. Hazy golden body with a ta ll head. Aroma has soft honey and some fresh bread. Mouthfeel is full but the flavours are mild. Alcohol is well covered. Finish is lush and juicy but I prefer some more dryness and bite in it. I liked Westmalle and Chimay Tripels more.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2013 Well balanced, especially for 8% alcohol. Any alcoholic nose is absent with only a slight aftertaste of alcohol. Medium bodied with a touch of spice. Nice mouthfeel and head retention. Balance is the keyword for this beer. No noticeable flaws or otherwise outstanding positive characteristics. Very drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Clear dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with hints of pear, pale berries. Taste is moderately sweet and slightly sourish, yeasty, fruity, hints of honey, alcohol; prickling carbonation. Too sweet and alcoholic.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy orange with a substantial white head. Aroma of bread, fruits, yeast, some hops. Medium sweetness, low bitterness. Surprisingly easy to drink for a tripel. Naturally, this is going to disappoint a lot of people because of the legendary status of the Abt 12, but this is a delicious beer in and of itself.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A superb beer that easily holds itís own against others of the style. Not quite as sweet/full bodied as the Westmalle I use as a benchmark but itís not a fault and provides variety.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazy orangey yellow with full white head. Sweet aroma with biscuit belgian yeast. Mild yeast taste that hides the alcohol. Bready, carbonated. Mild, but polished finish.
