Bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is a yeast, apricot, kandi and grain. Full body, with a soft carbonation. flavour is sour with a nice yeast, fruitiness and orange peel, grain and kandi sweetness. Nice tripel.

330 ml bottle, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 8%. Despite my careful pour, I got some little yeast chunks in my glass, but that doesn’t matter that much. Light orange copper in colour, with two fingers of white, soapy head. Very good retention on the foam and a slight lacing on the the glass. Aroma is fruity, with very obvious yeast and sugar notes. Quite sweet on the taste. Again, yeast, sugars, some light banana on the aftertaste, along with a very faint alcohol trace, more notable by the warmth it gives rather than the taste to be honest. Nice and complex. Medium on the body, good carbonation and a tart feeling on the palate. Now, although I am fan of more bitter and hoppier examples of the style, this one had a nice complexity and balance of flavours. Very good tripel.

[0.3 bottle, served: beer glass] In general I’m not huge fan of these "St. Bernardus"(like only 12th and 8th ones), even I really like Belgian style beer. But his one was a really great surprise. Appearance: very thick with massive "beer precipitate" in glass, that’s not allowing any light beam to get through the glass. But looks outstanding. Aroma: casual Belgian style aroma, with some sour yeast, but I’ve always like it so, yeah, this rules. Taste: some minimal bitterness with great feel of citrus a like hops, very pleasant combination. Nothing really special in this beer, but some good Belgian tripel. Yeah, and as always, at least with these Bernardus, very high carbonization.

I knew the Berardus Abt was one of the best in the word so I was curious about the Trippel. And it’s one of the best I’ve ever had! Great taste, not to strong alcohol taste, a very smooth drink!

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2013 Peut-être la meilleure bière du monde. Belle robe, douceur et rondeur avec pourtant un caractère certain... un délice.

Drinkability a nice with a good lacing. Good carbonation Good reference of the style. Would drink again for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

.33L bottle (best by 8/2014 dated) served in a Piraat tulip glass. A: The beer is a pale orange-amber color, hazy with a towering, creamy tan head, some of which lasts until the end, and leaves some lace on the glass. S: The fruity/floral aroma reflects Belgian yeast, light malts and a touch of hops. Excellent for style. T: probably the best tasting tripel I’ve ever had. The toasted malts are a bit more apparent than usual, banana and clove make up only a small portion of the complex flavor, and the sweet/bitter/tart mix is superb. M: Crisp and very smooth; medium body; medium-high carbonation, slightly dry finish. O: World class.

330 ml bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange with a thick, resilient white head. Aroma is oranges and yeast. Flavor is very lemony, some orange, loads of vanilla cake and bread. Finish is mostly citrusy, lemon zest dominates. Very easy drinking, a great brew.
