Commercial Description:
This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Fresh fruit on the nose. Fruit and spices on the palate. Clean refreshing finish.

Pale golden look with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma is fruity and fresh with alchohol being present. Exploding palate. Flavor is quite complex and warming. The sweetness sticks to you gums and teeth, but the alchohold and bitterness balance it out nicely.

Looks beautiful - amber color, just the right amount of carbonation. Head dissipated quickly. Much more bitter than most Tripels, and the most disappointing beer I’ve had from St. Bernard.

Bottle. Pours a nice orange colour with a medium fairly lasting head. Troma of toasted malt, fruits, yeast, spices and alcohol. The flavour is malty and spicy with toasted caramel, dark fruits, alcohol and with a bitter malty finish. Great brew!

Bottle. Cloudy orange body with a white head. Smells of banana, orange peel, cinnamon?. Tastes of fruits and spices, alcohol is mostly hidden. Nice and light in the mouth.

on tap @ papago...pale white color. sweet yeasty aroma. flavor is very light and mild, mostly yeast and floral honey. there’s a banana flavor on the finish or it’s just the creamy mouth feel which is reminiscent of banana eating. one of a handful of beers that i would not pair with food. it’s too intricate and mild not to be appreciated on its own

After trying this is a bottle last night, I knew I had to make a valiant effort to find this on draft. I had heard that the nearest Belgian cafe in Garden City, about 20 miles to the southwest, had this in its rotation, so i made a trip to find this majestic tripel. I found Waterzooi be a warm welcome home to the Europe I left last summer after my brother’s wedding in Lyon, France. Among the neatly arranged taps was the smiling monk waiting for me.. The pretty bartender poured me a healthy goblet full of the butter colored ale, which led to the first taste without a thought....it was amazingly good. It was even greater than I had anticipated as I watched the rings of lacey foam decline into the glass. The malty triple had more great tastes than Sybil had personalities. I had the bizarre impression of bananas and milk shakes while I couldn’t detect the alcohol at all. I thought this ale would be great with broiled duck or just by itself in the company of friends.
