11.2oz. Bottle Enjoy by 7/28/08 St. Bernardus Tripel pours a pale golden into it’s very own chalice. When held to the light it glows a bright yellow. Fair amount of floaties with many still left in the last 1/2 inch of beer in the bottle. Poured with a 1 finger white head that faded fairly quickly to a thin cap with spotty thick patches. Leaves some patchy spotted lacing with each drink that falls excruciatingly slow back into the body. Looks good. Smell is complex but falls a little short compared with other St. Bernies. Big bread dough aromas coming forward along with candied orange peel. The yeats character comes through with a little dusty spiciness. I even detect the occasional cherry cordials, very faintly though. Very nice. Taste is where it’s at with this tripel. The sip starts off with with the bread dough, lightly toasted bread and a handful of the candied fruits. This beer is an expierence for the tastebuds. A lot of very enjoyable flavors. Candy sugars and all the wonderful doughiness mix together to create an excellent beer. The perfect amount of residual sugars. I’m really having a hard time breaking this down, very familiar flavors but at the same time new to me, very strange. Very good. The body is medium, maybe a little on the lighter side. Good carbonation keeps things moving and is prickly on the tongue. No alcohol in the flavor but when the glass starts getting low my cheeks start getting a little warmer. This is a beer I could honestly enjoy all day long. The carbonation and mild body help push this over the top. The more I drink the more I want. This is an excellent tripel from St. Bernardus and will definately see my fridge many more times in the future. Wish I had more on hand right now. I’m kind of anxious to pick up some other tripels to review and compare. This one will be hard to beat. The most enjoyable I’ve had to date. 2/11/07

Orangey pour with a slowly dissipating white head. Very, very enjoyable flavor, and very easy to drink considering the 8% ABV. That being said, this Tripel has a heavy body and leaves an aftertaste that reminds you that this brew means business. Nice fruity flavor accentuates the drink from start to finish...highly recommended

My first tripel. Pours a hazy burnt sienna with a big white head that takes a few seconds to dissipate. I am usually a stout man but this impressed me.

Hazy orange with a huge, fluffy white head. Smells of Belgian yeast with a little citrus and another tangy smell that I can’t identify. Maltier and sweeter than I expected. Quite spicy; pepper and herbs, maybe thai basil? A little lemongrass. Pretty full mouthfeel, a little heavier than other tripels I’ve had. Leaves a peppery, gingerish burn in the back of the throat. There’s a lot to like in this beer. I usually prefer a brighter, more cirtusy style tripel, but the spiciness and the texture of this brew keep drawing me back.

Pours deep orange with a big white head that lasts. Very bubbly... Decent Tripel.

Big ass bottle drunk on 5/4. Pale yellow color with huge white head. Smells just like a belgian triple. Yeasty and candy flavors. The flavors almost seem delicate. Gets better as it warms. Dry slight matalic finish.

750ml bottle from the Flying Saucer in San Antonio. A nice tripel but it seemed too carbonated though, which kinda threw me off. Pours a cloudy gold with a fizzy white head. Light on the palate, leaving a bitter aftertaste. I’d reccomend trying it, but taste it before you buy a bottle.

Pours a light cloudy brown with almost no head. Smells like girl and light hops. Very nice flavor, good malty flavor with leave flavor. Nice hop profile as well. I would most certainly buy this again, reminds me of fall. I can’t wait for the fall to drink this then outside with the changing leaves.
