Wim (1278), Turnhout, Belgium Apr 8, 2007 a orange yellow cloudy body with a mostly diminishing white head with a light malty aroma and a moderate bitter flavor and a average bitter alcoholic finish het have a medium body and a alcoholic finish SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Apr 7, 2007 330 ml bottle, from BevMo LaJolla. Pours hazy, orange-golden color with a thick and fluffy white head that leaves heavy lace. Wonderful tripel aroma, sweet and fruity, with citrus and floral notes, bready, spicy yeasts and a little lemon zest. Flavor follows the same general character with (as the commercial description says) "a harmonious balance between sweet and sour" featuring tangerine, sourdough, floral hops, and rich, mellow yeast. The alcohol is well hidden among the cacophany of tastes. Full body and assertively creamy carbonation. Very nice tripel! hapjydeuce (763), Del Mar, California, USA Apr 7, 2007 Probably one of the better tripels I have had in a while. Cool translucent honey/golden color with a small white head that doesnt last too long. aroma of sugared bananas, light malt, yeast. Flavor is typical of a good tripel, loaded hops and citrus, well-balanced with the yeasty flavors and moderately high warming alcohol content. Finishes slightly dry with a semi-thick feel and numbness to the palate. A pretty good tripel, but it doesnt even come close to the hearty maltiness of the Abt 12 fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Mar 27, 2007 11 oz bottle. Citrus fruity aromas off this hazy golden nicely beer. White fluffy head is leaving nice lacing too. More citrus fruit on the flavor with wonderful pepper and vanilla notes. Slightly bitter but not too much. Sweeter finish than I had expected. Very good Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden Mar 24, 2007 Bottle, 75cl. Hazy golden colour with a large white head. Yeasty & fruity aroma, a bit anonymous. Light spicy flavour. Marsiblursi (1628), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 24, 2007 (Bottle) pours light hazy amber. Fruity, sweet and a bit sugary aroma with some yeast and syrupy malt. Small notes of hops and maybe some almond paste. Fruity, well carbonated flavour with syrupy and bready malt. Medium sweet. Full, round and rather smooth mouthfeel. Medium to full body. Malty finish. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Mar 19, 2007 Drank in a trappist glass. Hazy amber poor with a thin off white head. Nice amount of sediments at the bottom as weel. Aromas of unripenned bananas, prunes, creamy (lactose), peaches and cotton candy. Reminds me also of caramel fudge with lots of spices. Creamy mouthfeel with added flavors of caramel, cirtous, amazing hops were used to make this beer. Pefect balance amd nicely carbonated. Nice sweet start then it fades to a nice bitter aftertaste. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA Mar 17, 2007 Great aroma. Complex and just slightly bitter. Highly carbonated with slight sweetness. Very light on the tongue. It’s almost like it is dancing on it, then it leaves.
