This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a light straw yellow with a slight haze, with a billowing head which calms down quite swiftly and settles on the top. Nose is delightful, sweet bread, grass, a slight citrus nose, spice and a topnote of alcohol, some slight vanillas. In the mouth and there’s an immediate doughy sweetness, tempered with some bananas and vanilla, there’s a slight sourness along with that sweetness, a little lemon, a touch of raisin. Wonderfully complex, but you can marvel in its delicate touch and bittersweet finish.

Aroma: Lots of flowery hops, fruit, citrus, yeast. Appearance: Turbid golden/amber beer with a steady white head. You can see yeast floating. Taste/Palate: Sweet thanks to all the flowery hops and fruit, slightly bitter thanks to the citrus and yeast.

Bottle at Ölrepubliken bar and restaurant in Gothenburg. A near-perfect Abbey tripel, well balanced in both taste and aroma. Goes with anything!

Cloudy golden, Tall head of mid-sized bubbles quickly becoming a thick film on beer surface. The aroma is composed by corny sweetness, yeasty spiciness, banana, floral notes. Medium body. Oily texture. The flavour is relatively dry with notes of corn, spice, grassy light smooth bitterness. Delicious. Perfect balance. Hoppy finish & aftertaste. It’s a classic, what else can I say?

Pours hazy orange and with fine yeast sediments floating around, has a lasting off-white head. Classic belgian yeast spiced aroma. Flavour holds a classic belgian spiced yeast flavour and with mild caramel malt base

Bottle. No detailed notes, entering some big dogs I’ve missed from earlier tastings. Nicely balanced tripel with a bit more flower than fruit in the aroma and taste.

Botella. Color rubio muy pálido y turbio. Aroma complejo. Floral y especiado. Clavo. En boca resulta también muy floral en el que aprecio también regaliz. Un conjunto de sabores brutal. Bastante compleja, y seguro que con nuevas catas, encontraré distintos matices. Eso sí... deja un regustillo final.... Ummm...

750 ml bottle recently purchased. Side by side comparison with Kasteel Blonde 11%. Amber like color in a golden murky liquid. Aroma is lots of fruits, peach, pear, biscuit malts.

The sweet malt is balanced well with spicy notes. Traces of citrus and perfume notes, shows light hop bitterness as well. Much more complex then I would have guessed. At 8% no alcohol is noticeable in the flavor. St. Bernardus wins this taste test hands down. I wish I would have picked up a Tripel Karmeliet to go along with these two. But I already rate that so... No.
