porterhouse (887), Alna, Maine, USA Apr 27, 2008 (750 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/scarborough/oak-hill-beverage-and-redemption-center/3575.htm target=blank>Oak Hill Beverage) Pours somewhat cloudy gold/bronze with two fingers of white head. Aroma of citrus/lemon, pepper, honey and yeast. Mouthfeel quite soft and light, also lightly syrupy and sticky. Lots of dabs of lacing. Flavor is sweetish and fruit and honey-like but countered with a sour yeastiness. A light pleasant pepperiness overlays. A bit citrusy as well. A nice biere de garde, so I’m not sure why the scores are so low. I enjoyed it but couldn’t quite get through the whole bottle.
ghawener (639), San Salvador, El Salvador Jul 13, 2008 Bottle: Strong herbs (cloves and spices) over a sweet malty body. Softens by mid bottle, and then finishes light fruity and candy like. Travelled all the way from France to Brasil to El Salvador and still good. Another good brew from Duycks. decaturstevo (1124), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 6, 2008 Golden our with a frothy whith head and lace. Aroma of clover corriander and light pepper. First taste was stale with a little flavor of apple. A wee bit thin with good carbonation. An average beer that tastes a little better as it goes along. MrBunn (795), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy, light orange with a large pillowy head and aromas of grass, herbs, lemon and fresh flowers. Flavor is fairly sweet, with an apple juice like presence and a spicy/grassy finish. Fairly lively carbonation influences the zesty mouthfeel. Alcohol is a little too detectible. letsbeer (6), Brazil does not count Jun 22, 2008 Cerveja predominantemente feminina, doce, quase sem amargor, média-baixa carbonatação e bem frutada. Bom equilíbrio, final suave e limpo. É uma boa cerveja para o que se propõe. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 19, 2008 Bottle. 2005 vintage in 2007. Pours a golden orange body with a fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet apples, pears, a bit of spices cinnamon, pepper, tangly. I really enjoyed this but fresher bottles have yet to provide the same enjoyment.
