Extra Special Bitter has been a staple beer of England since the 1700’s. It was originally termed “Bitter” to distinguish it from less hoppy beers of the day, such as porters and mild ale. First Gold ESB has a medium caramel body and was exclusively hopped with English “First Gold” hops.

Draft: Poured a golden to light copper with a off white colored head. Aroma has a light hop and fruit hint to it. This goes over into the taste as I pick up some fruit and sweeter malt at first but the hops brings in that bittering effect that I enjoy in a ESB.
