Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A dark brown hazy beer with sweet rich red fruit and chocolate flavours, currants, vanilla and oak with a slight roasted and more warming fruit on the finish.

Murky amber colour. Complex flavour, relatively sweet, with many different notes.

Bottle @ Monk’s Porter House, beer tasting with Jessica Heidrich. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruity, hops, some alcohol. Flavour is rather acidic, caramel, hops, sweet malts.

Beautiful amber almost clear with huge bubly off white light brown head. Aorma is sweet caramel, bisquits, toasty, toffee, raisins, candy. Taste: sweet caramel, lots of dark fruits, raisins, toffee, some warming alcohol, caramel, cherries. A nice full barleywine. 2011 bottle.

Quite bland and not what I hoped for. Supposed to be a Barley Wine but I don't see that. Some caramel and honey but nothing special.

330 ml bottle. Bottle is a year old. Dark brown colour. Cloudy. Small off-white head. Sour and funky aromas. Vermouth and other odd weird flavours. Thick and clumpy appearance. There is clearly something wrong with this beer. Feels complex and way off at the same time.

A fresh strong Barley Wine that has very rich taste and will not make anyone dissappointed

Flaska från SB som är drygt ett år gammal. Doftar som påminner om kastanjer om hösten, mandelskal, svartpepparkorn och marsipan. Tydlig UK-humle som är örtig och riktigt pepprig, ganska besk för stilen. Rejäl kropp som är karamellsöt och alkoholvarm. Kunde säkert stått något år till. Lång eftersmak med mjuka svartpepparkorns toner. Riktigt fin.
