2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2012 Aroma is pine, nuts some grass. Taste is malty, perfectly balanced sourness on a fine hops foundation. Aftertaste is round and nuts with caramel. More of a British IPA rather than american.
Since a year the S:t Eriks "Brewery" has put out bottles with way too little head space. Head is small and quickly dissapearing. Aroma is dry english (!!) IPAish with aroma (and taste) of EKG, nutty and "knäckig" (swedish) taste. I remember it way better! Was 3.6, now 2.6. (Blind tasting with St Eriks Pale Ale, Nils Oscar Hop Yard and Nils Oscar IPA)

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber with a medium white head. Did not taste like an American IPA. Bready and earthy, not that much fruits. Maybe there was something strange about the content?

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2011 Bottle. Golden with an off-white head. Aroma: fruit, citrus, grape, pine, a tiny bit of caramel malt.. Taste, a bit nutty, with fruit, grapefruit, and light bready malt with hints of caramel, some acidity. Perhaps some elderberries. Quite a low bitterness. Low to medium-bodied with kind of a fizzy mouthfeel. Not spectacular, but has a nice drinkability.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2011 Clear amber with white head. Quite hoppy aroma with tropical fruits and a touch of forrest fruits (blackberry?). Quite dry with a small body with more focus on the bitterness makes is very refreshing. I find a metalic touch that is not all pleasant. But altogether it’s a nice refreshing summer IPA.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at SBWF 2010 (Galatea). It poured a light clear yellow liquid. Allot of hop aroma but with a light bitterness. Nice entry-beer for people that are new to the style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber colour, low frothy head. Heavy malt aroma with a dash of tropical fruits and light phenols. Sweet malty flavour with bit of phenols and tropical fruits. Medium bodied and not such accentuated bitterness as expected due to the residual sugars. Not as crisp and elegant as I expected, again due to the overall sweet feeling.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Systembolaget. Brilliant amber body, coarse blond top. Nice hoppy aroma of tropical, grapefruit and evergreen. Also a scent of toasted and biscuity malts. Taste is hop driven. Tropical and earth/grass for flavoring. Light resinous, oily hops for bittering. Restrained, medium sweet malt body. Really light in the mouth. Nice fruity hoppy endnotes. Super drinkability. Light, still tasty and complex.
