Draught at the Galatea stand at Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival 2011, sampled on September 30, 2011
Very dark brown color, chocolate color head. Sweet, berry, alcohol, wood, smoke scent. Smooth, soft, malty taste, very subtle. Very smooth mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Like drinking velvet, very nice.

On tap @ Ölrepubliken. Poured deep reddish brown, super creamy reddish brown head. Sweet roasty malt extract, hickory, alcohol on the nose. Much smoked oak whiskey taste, a little tart/vinegar flavor up front, sweetens and smooths out to finish dry with smoke and plenty of whiskey.

Draught@SBWF2011. Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is Islay peat, some ashes, caramel and quite roasted notes. Flavour is peated malts, some smoked wet wood, caramel, roasted malts as well as some slight ashyness. Been in the Islay barrels for just about the right amount of time!

Smoky aroma of islay whisky without taking over to much, notes of chocolate and molasses. Smooth and balanced taste with big noticeable whisky flavours. Got the right amount of sweetness.

Bottle at SBWF, October 6, 2011. Almost black with a small tan head. Quite a lot of Islay whisky character in this one. Nice mouth feel with a long, dry and pleasant aftertaste.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 30 Sep 2011) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of smoke, oak wood, vanilla, chocolate and hints of Islay whisky. Malty, oaky taste with Islay whisky, vanilla, smoke and a dry finish with chocolate and a gentle coffee bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Well balanced and tasty. Nice.

Sample at Porterfestivalen 2011, Göteborg. Black beer, brown head. Whisky aroma, hops, malt, smoked, tar. Whisky flavor, hops, salty, peated, cocoa, tar, some dark chocolate. Quite a challenge, but also pleasant.

Draught. Quick rating. Black with a beige head. Peaty, whisky, roasted, licorice, some coffee. Medium-bodied. Not bad, but not one of the better whisky aged beers around.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Near black, small head. Heavy peaty smoke aroma. Dryish with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Tarry whisky and licorice. Low bitterness.

Sample @ GPF 2011. Pours black with a small bubbly tanned head leaving lace. Aroma is smokey, whiskey, malty and roasted; a bit rough & raw. Flavor is acidy, fruity, a bit sweet, roasted, smokey and whiskey; quite sharp and raw on edges. Finishes bitter and roasted malty.
