The first result of the meeting with Jessica Heidrich is a healthy lager with a pure flavor of Swedish juniper berries that are matched by the exhilarating Cascade hops. According to Mathias fits the beer as good straight from the bottle in the wood-fired sauna in an elegant drinking glasses to the Swedish delicacies as caviar, trout, lobster and tartar on the game.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2012) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of juniper berries and juniper twigs, slightly perfumy. Malty, spicy taste with juniper berries, bread and a fresh grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. A bit different, but would probably work fine with my father’s juniper smoked trout. Quite nice.

Sample @ SBWF. Very spicy. Too spicy in my opinion. It’s almost hard to find a beer behind all the spices... Not bad tasting tough.

Bottle (marked 371) [from trade with SaintMatty] @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear golden color, small off-white head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts and herbs or spices like rosemary and something else. Taste malts, lightly hops but also again herbs or spices like rosemary and something else I can’t quite put my finger on. Low to medium carbo, low to medium body.

Bottle @ benzai. Clear, very pale yellow with a decent white head. Smells malts, beans, old. Not that nice. Tastes like the berries, fruity, bit soapy, flattish. Thin body, fizzy carbo, bit watery.
