S:t Eriks & Mathias Dahlgren #2 Pors

Bottle courtesy of Emma. Pours hazy orange with a rather big frothy and creamy offwhite head that leaves lots of sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty and herbal with caramel, grass, liquorice root, moist soil, moss and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, malty and herbal with caramel, bread, liquorice root, moist soil, moss, minerals and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny cloying and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and tiny bitter with caramel, moist soil, moss, grass and lemon zest. Weird but ok…

Golden little hazy. Very special aroma, sweet honey or black currant gel. Not very special taste.

Bottle, gift. Overall nice, maybe the pors gives the beer a personality. Went fine with pulled pork and fried potatoes.

Bottle. Pours amber with a big white head. Nice aroma of citrusy hops, yet dissapointing since i expected herbs... Sweet brew with a herbal bitterness.

The porse has a heavy precense in the aroma. There ar notes of wood sorel and one realy get the feeling of beeing out in a forrest. Hazy golden white head. Taste is pretty mild but the wood sorel makes a reapperance. Neither malt or bitterness stick out so the porse get full play room. The beer is light refreshing and dry. Aroma is better than the taste which is somewhat anonomys, but the porse is nice. I get the feeling that the recomended food from Mathias migh be to powerful in the taste and drown out the beer.

Aroma: Smelling of bread, apple, and vaguely floral.
Appearance: A clear brass colored beer. A white head with small lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting bread, apple marmalade, herbs and grass.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Not bad, but not very much bog myrtle in this one.
Note: Bottle 330 ml at home. Reviewed 2014-03-06.

Bottle shared at the chriso 2013 pre-GBBF shindig - London. Pours hazy gold with a mild, white cream head. The nose is all ginger and lime. Light sweet flavor with prevalent lime and lightly dried pale malts. Light in body with average carbonation and creamy texture. Yet more lime and ginger to finish with faint citrus rind bitterness. OK.

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (4-pack 110:-). Frisk, krispig, örter, kryddor, pors, lakrits, medelfyllig. Torr kryddig avslutning. Porsen är väldigt framträdande här.
