Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours deep brown with a large, foamy tan head. Dry and earthy with dried berries and moderate toasted bread. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Over-carbonated, in fact. Earth and roasty to finish. So so.

Taste comprises light roast, brown bread, cocoa, hint coffee. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Pretty basic offering.

RBESG pt 18. Moncada. Grand Tasting. Clear brown beer, small tan head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Mild dark malts streaked with apple. Touch of something bitter. Light dry finish. A bit rubbish to be frank.

(Bottle). The aroma and taste is slightly fruity and sweet with flavors of roasted malt and caramel malt. Not really bad but I will never drink this the beer again.

OleR (4802) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2014
Tall foamy tanned head, with good lacework. Body is brilliant dark brownish-red. Fresh belgo-yeast up front. Candied fruits and bubble-gum. Then a scent of semi-dry caramel malts and fresh apples. Medium body, with a really fine effervescence. Taste is more fruity than malty, on the dry side with tinned fruits and a light choco touch. Dryish fruity cocoa finish. A good one, very quaffable for a holiday ale. [0,33 l bottle. Thanks a bunch to Cunningham for providing this one]

330ml can, shared by djoeye. Massive bubbly fawn-coloured head slowly reduced to a filmy layer. Cloudy dark rustic coloured body. Herbal hops together with dried fruits and earthy malts on the nose. Similar taste of dried fruits, red orange, and brown malts added by a spicy touch. Dry malty ending. Medium bodied. Not quite out of season, it was, in fact, snowing outside (Tromsø 14.05.2014).

Fawn head, almost clear dark ruby body, lots of lacings. Fruity dark malty aroma with herbal floral style. Taste; malty caramel, grass n herbs n raisins, dark sweel caramel, some spices, fringes of cheese, somewhat dry style. Smooth on palate, nice. Dark fruity lingering aftertaste. Very fruity porter, and almost as a fruit-bock to enjoy. Julporter = Xmas-Porter, and snowflakes came dancing down outside the windows as we enjoyed this beer...in May! Bottle @ THT May, courtesy of sic1314. Pours a clear reddish brown beer with a thin beige head on top. Aroma very herbal, loads of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg are present. Flavor is quite sweet, herbal, touches of coffee in the back. Defintely a Christmas styled porter..
