Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter roasted flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate but much too fizzy.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, from Systembolaget, 20121231) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had dark chocolate, roasted malts and hops. Palate was almost full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, sweetness, cocoa, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had dark chocolate, roasted malts and bitter. A very pleasant and long lasting taste and the aroma wasn’t bad either. Slightly unbalanced: I would have wished for more burnt flavour and less chocolate.

Nice full malty aroma - roasty and toasty on one side, mashy and grainy on the other. Full and smooth in the mouth, really coats everything, but with tastes that you like and want to hang around. Retronasals are very nice, pleasantly estery, and very toasty. Burnt toast everywhere in the taste. Finish has a great noble hoppy bite. So full and roasty and toasty, but just shy of astringent. Lovely stout porter.

Mahoghnyfärgad, lågt skum. Fin doft av söt mörkt bröd, russin, choklad och kaffe. Smakerna är tunnare i munnen, lätt kropp, måttlig sötma, liten beska. Lättdrucken, välbyggd och god. Kanske lite anonym.

Man vet att man är i trygga händer när det står S:t Eriks på etiketten. Det är knappt man behöver känna efter hur och vad det smakar. Analyser gör varken från eller till. Allting ordnar sig i S:t Eriks sällskap.

Fine, mellow and good porter. I sense many pleasant flavors. The best memory is that I drank this while Sweden won the Eurovision 2012!
