33 cl bottle. Pours dark amber with small head. Smoke, smoke and more smoke. This brew smells and tastes like a liquid cigarette. Nice party chocker, but no drinkability at all. Close, but no cigar ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aug ’14. As my last beer in Sweden, I found a 0.33 l bottle of this in Systembolaget in Upplands Väsby. It poured clear brown body with small head. Very smoked aroma, besides typical pleasant notes there were some burnt plastic, too. Flavor was lightly sweetish, again smoked, wood, peat, charcoal, just a hint of smoked ham. Thinner in body, so did not gave away really complex feel. Finish was shorter, slightly sour, smokey with almost only peat. Pleasant, but a bit too peaty and that simplicity doesn’t help it. Just okay.

Poured from bottle, dark amber with low head. Aroma is heavy and peaty, might be som caramel and some herbs but it’s very faint. Taste is dry and peaty, powerful smoked notes. Not a beer I will long for but not undrinkable.

Pours dark amber with a low off white head. Aromas of smoke, tar, and not much else that’s discernible. Taste is smoke and tar and faint hints of caramel and rye bread. A bit too one-dimensional.

Bottle from Glug, Newcastle. This very dark brown beer has a strong smoked beechwood and medicinal fruity flavour followed by liquorice, more smoke and chemical cherry notes on the finish.

Ahhh schinken ausgesichenet. Som att slicka botten på en gammal ej nytjärad eka. Som gjord för Opeth om dom nu finns i livet. Möjligt i mass men bättre i Willybecher. Fat i bakgrunden. Borde doppelbockas. Behagligt torr efter julmat.

330 ml bottle. Clear golden with white head. Smell is smokey, peaty scotch whisky with some malt and dried fruit. Taste is smokey with some scotch whisky and some malt. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark amber with a smallish, off-white head. The nose is heavy, heavy peat, so much iodine here it almost makes me puke. Medium body, very dry, lowish carbonation, ashy and again heavy notes of iodine and sea salt. I loathe peat - does it show? 021214

allmyvinyl (5177) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 21, 2014
Bottle at The Southern. Pours clear dark brown, thin white head. Big smoke and whisky aromas, TCP, iodine. Taste is quite thin, more whisky. Could’ve done with a bigger base beer, but not bad.
