2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
33 cl bottle. Pours dark amber with small head. Smoke, smoke and more smoke. This brew smells and tastes like a liquid cigarette. Nice party chocker, but no drinkability at all. Close, but no cigar

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Released December 2, 2013.
Best before April 16, 2015.
Another beer that I’ve found way back in my beer cellar.
It has been brewed with Mackmyra smoked malt.
The beer pours clear, mahogny red-brown with a one finger high head that doesn’t leave any lacing.
Nose: A lot of smoke, charcuterie, oak and caramel.
Taste: Sweet taste, a little to sweet. Caramel, oak, smoked ham, brown sugar and wood.
Mouth: Medium body. Light carbonation. Sweet, to sweet ending.
Nope. I like rauchbier but this is too sweet for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle from Systembolaget, Hornstull. Clear dark amber, one-finger size white head. Smoky aroma of peat and tar. Light and rounded mouthfeel, gentle carbonated. Smoky taste without being too heavy, sweet caramel is there behind the tar and peat.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from SB 151113.
Clear dark coppery body with lasting beige head. Very heavy peaty smoke and nice juniper touch both in nose and palate. You can recognise the Mackmyra smoke clearly, which is very nice in itself, but takes completely over the beer feel. The beer itself is too weak and sweet so the result is very unbalanced. It's an interesting beer but I'd rather drink the whiskey separatedly.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear red-brown, beige head. Huge, almost medicinal, peaty aroma is dominating everything else. The taste, just as weird and full of peat, which tastes almost like petrol. Some malts behind all of this. Feels thin and overcarbonated. It really needs to get used to.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Flaske 330ml fra Systembolaget Umeå - Wasagallerian. Drukket i Skibotn 3 Jul 15. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum som blir nesten helt borte. Kraftig whiskyaroma. Litt sur, bålaktig. Smaken forsterker det sure bålpreget. Bra - men mer røykwhisky enn øl.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Gyllengul öl med vitt skum. Doften är i stort sett bara whiskeymalt. Rökighet och whiskey. Tyvärr är ölen bakom inte tillräckligt bra för att balansera rökigheten. Blir obalanserat.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle) Dark reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, smoky nose with peat, smoked ham, brown bread, tar and a touch of heather honey. Malty, smoky taste with notes of tar, peat, smoked ham, bread, a touch of orange peel and a finish where peat smoke overshadows a gentle bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Well made with a solid peat smoke and tar character. Possibly a bit one-dimensional, and something of an acquired taste. Quite nice.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Pours a clear golden brown, with a faint beige head. The aroma is mainly peat, tar, ashes, and burnt plastic. The taste is dry and the aftertaste is harsh and phenolic. The carbonation is medium, and the mouthfeel is thin and dry. This beer is vile, undrinkable, and a horrible attempt at making a rauchbier, as they’ve used peated malt instead of smoked malt, and it does not taste much like an Islay either, contrary to the malt used.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big beige head doesn’t last. Clear reddish body with carbonation.
Peat smoke and toffee aroma with creosote and chocolate notes, as well
as earth and barnyard. Interesting. Recognizably similar to Scottish
peated beers, like Ola Dubh, and not at all like the smoke character
in Gotlandsdricke. Sweetish peat smoke toffee and licorice taste with
earthy creosote notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish
peat smoke, earth and roastiness aftertaste with creosote and barnyard
notes. Lovely beer with lots of flavour. (0.33l bottle, from
