3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle from bv4lss. Pours a slightly hazy brass-yellow color with a big fluffy whit head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is mild with soft herbs, Belgian yeast, whit pepper and sweet malts. Thee flavor has a big Belgian tripel character with white fruits, thyme, grapefruit, hops and some lightly funky sour grapes. The palate is smooth and creamy with soft carbonation. The finish is medium in duration and dry. Overall: A very enjoyable quaff if you are in the mood for something Belgian.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is minty, yeasty, spicy, malty, and generally herbal. The appearance is hazy gold with a huge head that fades. The taste is like the aroma exactly. The palate is very smooth from carbonation. Overall a really nice beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very lively golden pour that only kicks up a head after a very vigorous pour, and even then it fades almost immediately - nose of apricot, pineapple, faint rye and wheat, moderate plastic phenols, a lot of mint, sage, citric hops - huge, abrasive carbonation in the mouth that fails to improve as the beer warms - surprisingly dry for the strength, at least up front - dry herbal bitterness, moderate earthiness, flinty character - honey sweetness develops through the middle, tasting a little more like a tripel at this point - some melon and tropical fruits - the american hop bite comes through at the tail end - earthy, citrus bitterness - finish is dry once again, with lingering flinty character - tastes like they were going for a houblon chouffe thing, but that beer has the benefit of being both cheaper and better than this.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
gave a loud pop! when the cork was removed, has a clear medium gold pour with some orange and yellow colors, made a huge white fluffy, creamy head five fingers high that stood in the glass, there was tons of effervescence in this beer, bubbles everywhere, and lots of sticky, bubbly lacing on the glass as I drank,
there were aromas of light bread and pale malt, yeast, soft, mild fruit fragrances of Orange, Lemon and Pear, a hint of Banana and faint floral scents,
with flavors of bready malt, light fruit – Pear and Lemon with citrus, the finish is drying and has pepper with a touch of gentle herbs at the end,
there is some alcohol warming on the palate, and it does not grow as the beer warms which is a good thing,
mouth feel is light and creamy,
a nice Belgian Strong Golden ale.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar ($12.99). Opens with quite a pop! Pours a murky straw yellow with big fluffy white head composed of rather large bubbles which reduces to a constant layer of foam. Aroma of fresh zesty citrus, yeast, biscuity malts, spice, and some notable American hop qualities. Flavor has a strong spicy element (apparently both from rye malt as well as the actual spices used). Flavor also includes more zesty citrus (lemon stands out and also orange peel) and other hoppy notes. Dry finish with nice carbonation. I like the very fresh and hoppy qualities of this brew. It’s a big beer in terms of ABV, but the saison-y characteristics somehow make this very appropriate for a summer day. Very nice. (28, 360)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
thanks Tony @ OTH for the share.
pours cloudy golden, white head.
aroma,f ruity, clove, spices, light bread, definitely has the St Feuillien signature along with a more hopped up American style.
flavors, champagne yeast? mild/thick malt presence, fizzy carbonation with ample citrus. Belgian yeast with light hops adding for a nice bitter palate. Spices, cloves?, dry hopping is on the light side, rye adds some spiciness.

Tap. Wow. Peculiar lemon zest, floral greenhouse plant mix, honey dew nose. Flavor is lemon gum drops, a bit of medicine, and toasted lemon soap. Interesting, unique beer. Weird. Aroma better than flavor. A little too much like a lemon candy for my liking, but enjoyed it nonetheless.
