COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Feuillen’s centuries old brewing traditions combine with Green Flash Brewing Company’s cutting edge brewing techniques to form our first collaborative brew: Bière De L’Amitié (Friendship Brew). A blond Belgian collaboration ale, brewed with St. Feuillen’s traditional yeast and spices. For a modern twist, we add rye malt, wheat malt, and American Amarillo hops. At the crossroads of collaboration, we dry-hopped the brew for more zest. It’s old-world Belgian Abbey-style meets new-world American craft brewing - and a friendship is formed.

750 ml bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar ($12.99). Opens with quite a pop! Pours a murky straw yellow with big fluffy white head composed of rather large bubbles which reduces to a constant layer of foam. Aroma of fresh zesty citrus, yeast, biscuity malts, spice, and some notable American hop qualities. Flavor has a strong spicy element (apparently both from rye malt as well as the actual spices used). Flavor also includes more zesty citrus (lemon stands out and also orange peel) and other hoppy notes. Dry finish with nice carbonation. I like the very fresh and hoppy qualities of this brew. It’s a big beer in terms of ABV, but the saison-y characteristics somehow make this very appropriate for a summer day. Very nice. (28, 360)

thanks Tony @ OTH for the share. pours cloudy golden, white head. aroma,f ruity, clove, spices, light bread, definitely has the St Feuillien signature along with a more hopped up American style. flavors, champagne yeast? mild/thick malt presence, fizzy carbonation with ample citrus. Belgian yeast with light hops adding for a nice bitter palate. Spices, cloves?, dry hopping is on the light side, rye adds some spiciness.

Tap. Wow. Peculiar lemon zest, floral greenhouse plant mix, honey dew nose. Flavor is lemon gum drops, a bit of medicine, and toasted lemon soap. Interesting, unique beer. Weird. Aroma better than flavor. A little too much like a lemon candy for my liking, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Candied apricots and light must on the nose. Shimmering amber, headless. Dry and well hopped flavor of apricots and lemon peel. Some subdued musty funk notes also present. Solid, and nicely hopped (thanks Green Flash), but doesn’t stand out.

Pretty good brew. Self popping cork! With a good, solid bang, too!! Poured with a small to medium sized, sudsy, off white head that lasts a little and some lace. Color is a slightly hazy light amber. Aroma is lots of citrus fruit, malt, yeast. Taste is very similar with lots of lingering sweetness. Body is very good and it has champagne like carbonation. Finish is like flavor and of medium length. Easy drinking beer.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Pours a slight hazed yellow- mostly clear with a relatively dense, bright white head that has decent retention and scant lacing. Aroma is potpourri, bitter orange peel, perfume oils, some spice, lemonade. Taste is very dry, some saison character, light candi sugar, soapy, perfumey. 9.5%abv is not noticeable.
