St. Feuillen’s centuries old brewing traditions combine with Green Flash Brewing Company’s cutting edge brewing techniques to form our first collaborative brew: Bière De L’Amitié (Friendship Brew). A blond Belgian collaboration ale, brewed with St. Feuillen’s traditional yeast and spices. For a modern twist, we add rye malt, wheat malt, and American Amarillo hops. At the crossroads of collaboration, we dry-hopped the brew for more zest. It’s old-world Belgian Abbey-style meets new-world American craft brewing - and a friendship is formed.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow/orange with a big, thick, white head. Aroma of candi sugar, earthy yeast, coriander and citrus. Flavor is sweet sugary malt balanced out by zesty spice and citrus, very light alcohol presence. Medium body with active carbonation. Really nice beer, all the flavors come together nicely and it’s very drinkable.

Draught at Freshcraft. Lemon yeasty light and good carbonation. For a strong ale, it has the yeasty taste of wit.

As "Green Flash Friendship Brew".
Black color, brown head. Sweet, mineral, brett scent. Brett, bitter taste. Dry finish, spritzy mouthfeel, high bitterness. Hints of licorice.
Most others around me found huge amounts of licorice, as where I felt mainly brett, I might have been interpreting the characters differently.

Draft. Deep black. No idea what style they want this to be. Pretty port wrist in my opinion. Easy drinking. Pretty good

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a very dark brown color with a large frothy brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus, spicy and floral notes along with chocolate and nuts. The taste is floral, herbal, perfume, citrus, stone fruits, chocolate. Bitter finish, medium bodied.

Bottle, under the name "Green Flash Friendship Brew." Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an extremely thick tan head. Has a lot of spiciness to the aroma. Not nearly as spicy in the taste as the nose would belie, but an interesting strong black ale. Good strong malts without the sweetness that comes from a lot of Belgians.

The sample I bought popped like champagne, but at least I didn’t get a beer "Old Faithful." Nevertheless, open with care - and be damned careful where you point the bottle because that cork is likely to come shooting out like a bullet! Strong, fruity aroma has banana and apple components, a yeasty underpinning, and hints of malt, wheat and honey. Pours a clear, bright solar yellow with a fluffy and very thick, if not too persistent, white head. Fruity flavor has a strong grassy component, a little like lettuce or spinach that is past its prime, as well as hints of yeast, woody hop bitterness, and honey sweetness. That vegetable component seems to lessen as I drink it, but it does bug me. Sorry, a point off there. Smooth texture has a lively fizz and good body. I love collaboration brews - they may not always be the best, but they’re fun to try.

Pours a bright yellow golden color with a nice three finger head that just sits and waits like a well trained dog ! Sticky with proteins too.... Aromas are big and fruity; tropical, apple, citrus...as well as a touch of rustic yeast, straw and a bit of herbal spice. On the palate its a lot of the same but the hop presence really shines mid palate with fresh dose of earthy bitterness to cut into the Belgian candied flavors and fruity roundness of the beer. Really nice.
