COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Feuillen’s centuries old brewing traditions combine with Green Flash Brewing Company’s cutting edge brewing techniques to form our first collaborative brew: Bière De L’Amitié (Friendship Brew). A blond Belgian collaboration ale, brewed with St. Feuillen’s traditional yeast and spices. For a modern twist, we add rye malt, wheat malt, and American Amarillo hops. At the crossroads of collaboration, we dry-hopped the brew for more zest. It’s old-world Belgian Abbey-style meets new-world American craft brewing - and a friendship is formed.

750 c&c from South Bay Drug. Cork ejected with a bang. Pours dishwater gold with a 4 finger frothy/foamy off-white head. Smells like a tripel; kandi, yeast/spice. Medium body; frothy carb. There’s a strong spice/herb/hop flavor that is dominant. Or maybe that’s rye. It’s incredibly floral/herbal, and it’s even bitter. So lots of complex flavor. It’s strongly flavored. Finishes like a dry hopped tripel. Excellent.

Corked bottle. Poured a cloudy deep amber with an average rocky off-white head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy tart fruit, hops and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex bittersweet and yeast flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Exceeded my expectations.

Bottle... Cloudy straw-colored ale with a small, wispy, white head. Decent retention. The spicy, bready aroma offers lots of lemon zest accompanied by clove and coriander. Light to medium-bodied with biting carbonation. The flavor and finish, although crisp and bready, is also moderately sweet, spicy and herbal. Lemon zest here as well. Generously bittered with grassy hops. Overall, very enjoyable. Much better than the sum of its parts.

Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso, courtesy of Greg - thank you sir! Very pale yellow, solid lacing. Aroma of freshly cut grass. Taste is very strong hops, but not too bitter. Good balance and complexity.

Very pale golden coloured beer. The nose is surprisingly light and soft. There is a touch of soft berryish fruitiness as well as some light spice, but it is quite light. The palate is quite soft – there is a touch of Belgian malt but the yeast and spice are very subdued. Light lingering spice. It’s nice, but much more subtle than I would have imagined.

750 ml bottle poured a clear yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, pear, citrus, light earthiness and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, pear, pineapple and citrus with a crisp dry lingering citrus finish.
