3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: The pour is a hazy pale yellow color with a huge white head.
S: The nose is of sweet light fruits such as apples and pears, grass, and light malty sweetness. There is a touch of metal in there too, for some reason, along with subtle yeast esters providing some spice.
T: Sweet and bready malts with plenty of green apples, sweet pears, and floral honey-like notes. There are some nice grassy hop notes as well.
M: The body is on the light end of medium with a very lively carbonation.
D: Like pretty much everything else Green Flash does, this was a winner. Very nice and easy to drink (especially for such a high ABV beer).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 c&c from South Bay Drug. Cork ejected with a bang. Pours dishwater gold with a 4 finger frothy/foamy off-white head. Smells like a tripel; kandi, yeast/spice. Medium body; frothy carb. There’s a strong spice/herb/hop flavor that is dominant. Or maybe that’s rye. It’s incredibly floral/herbal, and it’s even bitter. So lots of complex flavor. It’s strongly flavored. Finishes like a dry hopped tripel. Excellent.

Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex bittersweet and yeast flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Exceeded my expectations.
