Bottle. A good collaboration here, with plenty of variety and unique qualities, but maybe does not quite come together perfectly for me. Some big, fluffy starch white head that dissipates quickly on the pour, with a hazy golden orange body. A lot of things are going on in the nose. There are buttery, nutty grains, olives, cereal grains, herbal, peppery hops, and malted rye bread. Body is spicy and hides the abv well, though is quite chewy. Flavor is very grain dominate in the beginning with buttery malted, mixed cereals. There are more herbal notes in the flavor compared to aroma. Other notes of funky cheese, olive, and light booze. Those pale cereal grains and spicy hop dominate. Finish is dry and spicy. I liked this, especially the complexities, but overall just falls a bit short.

Too many great beers in this style. Big white head that disappeared right away. Sweet Belgium nose hop back ground with apple blossoms.
Almost some barnyard. Refreshing granny smith tartness and spicyness. Lite tart and maybe some grape. Dry finish. Love it!

Draught at Gingerman NYC. Pours cloudy gold with a medium white head. Aroma is typical belgian yeast and some hops. There is a hoppy bite in the taste with some grassy, yeasty, citrus notes. A nice collaboration.

Tap, 4oz sample. Hazy yellow (it looks like cloudy pee, ok?), strong white head, obviously heavily carbonated. I get lemon zest, white pepper, acid on the nose. More lemon, pepper, some underripe orange, earth spice, high acidity in taste. Very crisp and refreshing for such a high ABV.

Pours a golden color with small white head. Aroma of yeast, spice and fruit. Flavor was light, crispy, floral, fruity, hoppy and well carbonated. A nice balance of Belgian influence mixed with American hops and malts. Easy drinking and packs a punch.

750ml corked and caged bottle served in a Blvd. Tank 7 tulip. Bottle conditioned. Lots of carbonation. Opened with a big pop. Poured a hazy pale gold with a thick, rocky white head. Citrus, spice in the aroma. Also a fair amount of hops for a Belgian style. Light bodied with more citrus, some spice and hops in the finish. Crisp and refreshing. Very drinkable. Nice beer.

Pours light golden color, with lots of head that hangs around a while. Aroma is nice, really reminds me of a Triple. Taste also seems very much like a Triple, but there is definitely more underlying, sweet, slightly fruity, slightly spicy flavor there. Also more hop bitterness, but I don’t know that I really prefer that in this style. I would consider this a triple, but with noticeably more flavor and complexity. A good beer, but I probably wouldn’t seek it out again.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bbbeer (411) - Massachusetts, USA - JUL 3, 2012
Hazy golden yellow with outlandish white head. Aroma citrus, spices, herbs, hay, yeast, pleasant and complex. Medium-full body, some carbonation and some alcohol but neither overwhelming. Flavor is dry mostly, a little sweetness in the background. Herbal flavors with grassy hops, citrus zest. Objectively it’s good but for some reason I just didn’t enjoy it that much.

750 mL bottle poured into an oversized wine glass. Pours a hazy golden color with a two inch white head and nice lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, bready malt, and some hops. Taste is sweet and malty with some fruitiness and citrusy hop flavor. Very good.

Cloudy yellow, generous head. Sweet malt and Belgian yeast on the nose. Bitter/sweet tug of war on the tongue. Orange, vanilla, soft grains(oats?) and alcohol through the middle. Alcohol on the way out predominates, backed by numerous hops.
