COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Feuillen’s centuries old brewing traditions combine with Green Flash Brewing Company’s cutting edge brewing techniques to form our first collaborative brew: Bière De L’Amitié (Friendship Brew). A blond Belgian collaboration ale, brewed with St. Feuillen’s traditional yeast and spices. For a modern twist, we add rye malt, wheat malt, and American Amarillo hops. At the crossroads of collaboration, we dry-hopped the brew for more zest. It’s old-world Belgian Abbey-style meets new-world American craft brewing - and a friendship is formed.

So... Green Flash’s twist on the traditional Belgian Strong Ale: rye, wheat, and citrusy, floral Amarillo hops? You can tell. Overall, this beer is very fresh and clean... the Amarillo hops really gave this Belgian Ale a nice, light, farmhousy, green freshness. It is very well-crafted, light-bodied, and floral with a slightly citrus/floral character that persists. Fresh, clean and enjoyable. The perfect marriage.

On tap at Novare Res in tulip. Pale gold with ring and lace. Mild peach and citrus yeasty aroma that adds spice when it warms up. Citrus honey peach sweet fruitiness with citrus and pepper finish that adds spiciness as it warms up. Clean dry refreshing. Well-disguised alcohol. Excellent.

750 ml bottle @ redlight redlight. Minty pine with grassy and hay with a fruity spiciness on the nose. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thick fluffy white head. Slightly funky, not extremely hoppy, tropical fruits with spices with grassy hops with hints of grapefruit zest. Wonderful to drink with thick white lacing through the entire glass. Excellent.

Purchased at Dilly Deli, Cincinnati, OH. 750ml bottle, corked and caged. Poured into a tulip. Thanks for recommending this beer peanut! I really liked this beer, even more than I had anticipated. Essentially like a ramped up duvel. The rye and amarillo hops lend a nice spicy quality to this beer while the wheat malt adds a great deal of body to it. Bright golden, perhaps a shade darker than duvel. HUGE dense white head that lasts and lasts and will get away from you if you’re not careful. Light spice on the nose, but mid-palate and the finish is where this beer really shines. The hop and rye bitterness burst through the fluffy wheat palate and complement the respectable abv (9.5%) to produce a satisfying finish that warms the back of your mouth and throat. hides the alcohol pretty well, but a little heat on the tail end. Moderate to high ester and yeast flavors and a healthy dose of hops make this beer a true treat!

Bottle, gave a loud pop! when the cork was removed, has a clear medium gold pour with some orange and yellow colors, made a huge white fluffy, creamy head five fingers high that stood in the glass, there was tons of effervescence in this beer, bubbles everywhere, and lots of sticky, bubbly lacing on the glass as I drank, there were aromas of light bread and pale malt, yeast, soft, mild fruit fragrances of Orange, Lemon and Pear, a hint of Banana and faint floral scents, with flavors of bready malt, light fruit – Pear and Lemon with citrus, the finish is drying and has pepper with a touch of gentle herbs at the end, there is some alcohol warming on the palate, and it does not grow as the beer warms which is a good thing, mouth feel is light and creamy, a nice Belgian Strong Golden ale.

Pours a hazy yellow, nose is of belgian yeast esters, fruity, with a nice fennel kick. Taste is spicy, clean belgian pils malt, and again a good fennel bite.

overcarbonated. light yellow with a huge white head of tightly packed bubbles. smells of funky lemons, and spives( pepper, minor bit of lavender, thyme, dried bell pepper). i’d enjoy ranting about "yet another belgian ipa" and i have a good 5 minutes i could do on it, but i can’t this is good. not the kind of good that appeals to all facets of me, but this is a good example of what a "belgian" ipa can be. touch down oklahoma, fuck you florida state. this is dry, and leaves that powder like note on my toingue that i am a sucker for. hopped up flavor that has a dried cantoulope flavor to it. dry, with light spice coming out with each sip. citrus is flavorfull and melds well. the yeasty flavors are perfect for thisl, little bit of funk, dry, some bread notes, and pepper.
