COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light ale has a deep golden colour with a smooth, frothy head. It is very perfumed with an unmistakable hint of aromatic hops and a fruity (citrus) note from the spices used in production. The body has an intense yet distinctive bitterness and a strong malty taste which is a delight to the palate. The overall effect, however, is a slight dryness and hoppiness.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2007 Rerated in 2007 after sampled a bottle bought in La Roche.
[Sampled in 2003 at Charlies in Cph. with Bo, Pernille and Henrik on the way to DK - Romania: 2-2.] This was one of the first challenging beers I ever had and therefore it got some bad points. Notes of chicken hotwings, perfume, cumin, barbecue. Very special aroma and flavor with, for a newcomers point of view, nonacceptable impressions. I was indeed surprised, but not anymore, now 4 years later.

Bottled. Lightly hazy golden, lively head. Concentrated aroma of orange peels and almondy yeast. Fairly sweet with solid body and sprity mouthfeel. There’s honey and Old English marmelade as well as coriander and grain. Really flavourful, and also rather well balanced. Wouldn’t stick out amongst other Belgian golden ales, but is very enjoyable.
