A hazy orange beer with a huge off-white head. The flavor is sweet spicy, while the flavor is more fruity - especially with peach coming thru, but there is also a spicyness lying in the background.
Earlier Rating: 12/3/2002 Total Score: 3.6
A hazy yellow beer with a very nice head. It has a very nice fruity ale aroma. The flavor is of unmalted wheat malt, nice sweetness, slight bitterness, and orange. Really a nice blonde beer.

Bottled 25cl (BB 12/2005)
Hazy dark orange, lots of floating yeast. Steady white head. Hioney sweet aroma with notes of orange, cardboard and metal. Lemon acidy flavor, fruity, a bit sweet, crisp carbonation. A bit Orval like. Short finish, needs longer hop presence.
Earlier Rating: 5/11/2005 Total Score: 3.5
Bottled (BB 08/2006)
Golden color with huge white head. Aroma is first like in rubber balloon, then itís more citrusy hops and licorice. Medium-bodied. Hides alcohol very well. Malty, hoppy, yeasty. Some dry anise in the flavor. Short bitter aftertaste. Well-balanced and well-done.

Golden colour. Nice, thick, foamy white head. Fruity, vanilla, spicy & slight hoppy nose. Flavour is pretty much the same, but has a little yeasty, metallic finish. Full bodied. This is good stuff.

Iíve been pseudo looking for this brew for some time. Iím not sure why, but when beerbuzzmontreal offered I didnít hesitate to trade. Light golden color with a touch of haze. Tall creamy off white head that settles to a solid lid leaving small islands on in the wake. Light fruit fused with mild licorice, anise, white pepper and dry yeast seem to fill the nose. Marzipan and vanilla seem to be on the side. Mild nuts, ginger, and anise flavors. This is a liquid pfeffernuesse cookie. Finish is dry and spicy. Almost to strong, as there is a long bitter spice linger. A later sniff reveals Grand Marnier, interesting. This one does seem to mellow the further one gets into the bottle and the warmer it gets. I wish this was a 750 as this just keeps getting better with each sip and now Iím down to my last couple ounces. Iíll seek this one out again.

75 cl bottle. Belgian blonde with great complexity and a high alcohol % which is fairly well hidden. It tastes like a classic. But could be a bit smoother and softer in my opinion. Thereís almost too much going on around my tastebuds...
