This light ale has a deep golden colour with a smooth, frothy head. It is very perfumed with an unmistakable hint of aromatic hops and a fruity (citrus) note from the spices used in production. The body has an intense yet distinctive bitterness and a strong malty taste which is a delight to the palate. The overall effect, however, is a slight dryness and hoppiness.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Golden colour with large bubbly white head. Aroma is interesting; malt and hops and floral and a sort of nice medicinal pineyness. Taste is spicey, dry, bitter, sweet, malty, hoppy, sourish at the end, with a lovely mouthfeel. Full bodied, crisp and refreshing with well hidden alcohol. Very impresive blonde.

a very nice blonde. Somewhat pilsner feel, quite yeasty with floral earthy tones with some bitterness. Aroma was bitter oranges and apples with an outhouse feel to it. Very very drinkable but lacks a bit of complexity and is quite straight forward
Earlier Rating: 7/7/2004 Total Score: 3.3
an avarage blonde. Easy drinking, yeasty, surprisingly hoppy and acid. Floral, yeasy aroma, nice big head but fainted quickly ... nice little beer but nothing mind blowing

Golden color; big creamy head. Nice dry malt aroma, a bit spicy. Quite malty, still dry and spicy (coriander). Fairly good, but short at the end.

Gold ale, beautiful generous head, fine perlage. Ordinary aroma, some malt. Smooth taste, enough body, some sweetness, lack of character, and rather poor palate. Strong and pleasant, but not outstanding.

Bottle: Poured a hazy blonde beer with a huge foamy white head with good retention. Aroma is quite floral with some nice mix of malt and hops. Taste is very refreshing with again notes of malts and hops and some sweet floral notes. Body is bit thicker then expected with a great balance between hops and yeast. ABV is well hidden which is great for blonde beer with 7.5% ABV.

Light on the mouth with spicey lemon yeast. Lace that stays in the cup, many small bubbles from good carbonation. Really 7.5%? Malty and refreshing. Bit of dry bitter afterataste from hops. Floral yeasty aroma.

Bottled, at the Dovetail, London.
Golden with a fine white had. Dry, sour aroma. Sweet & sour flavour which is approachable, crisp and refreshing. Elegant, uncomplicated, well made beer.
