4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ Wellington Arms, Bedford. Light yellow with a whirlpool of carbonation. The sign of a great beer (as opposed to one that is merely good) is one that you are happy to smell for a good 10 minutes, breathing in an exciting and unique aroma. Fresh and funky, hints of seawater and TCP. The scent of heaven. Taste is even better: a balanced salty sweetness with a bittersweet finish. Palette is like the kiss of one’s own true love.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Hazy yellow amber body, tall steady head. Aroma has wheat, yeast, mild citric hops. Tastes like a strong witbier with coriander, banana, wheat and lemon. Finish adds some honey and a warm glow. A sweet beer with a carefully balanced hoppiness. Such a well balanced beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This light ale has a deep golden colour with a smooth, frothy head. It is very perfumed with an unmistakable hint of aromatic hops and a fruity (citrus) note from the spices used in production. The body has an intense yet distinctive bitterness and a strong malty taste which is a delight to the palate. The overall effect, however, is a slight dryness and hoppiness.

Sehr mild-süßlich. Etwas wässrig, dabei fruchtig-hefig. Hat was von reifen Bananen / Pfirsichen. Nachgeschmack leicht alkoholisch-süßlich.

Good beer in overall but too strong for me on the yeasty notes on both the aroma and the taste.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Opaque yellow-orange, gassy, with a huge bubbly head. Sweet, dry, yeasty and tasty. Has a bitter aftertaste. Spiced and yeasty aroma. A particularly good example of a Belgian blond.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl Bottle: BBD 12th Aug 15, poured into a Duvel glass @ home on 5th Dec 13.
Almost clear golden colour with a good head, could almost have been a Duvel in the glass.
The aroma however told you it wasn’t a Duvel: this had a grainy and mild citrus note in the smell, along with some yeast esters.
The taste was also a mixture of flavours, again grainy, citrusy and yeasty: crisp, sharp and leaning towards tart with a dry bitter finish.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a very good beer. They got the balance just right between bitterness and a slight sweetness. Citrus wheaty aromas. Full flavor. A little nutty even. Like it.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
BB 20/05/2015. Poured a cloudy honey brown colour with a one-finger white foamy head that retained poorly, diminishing to a thin bubble line. Laced poorly in streaks. Carbonation low with medium to small bubbles. Aroma of sweet malt, yeast and subtle spices. Taste quite sweet, a bit yeasty, and with a nice hops bitterness. Light to medium body.

Pours a hazy yellow/golden with a white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, citrus fruits, some hops and spices such as coriander. A tasty and refreshing Belgian Blond.
