This light ale has a deep golden colour with a smooth, frothy head. It is very perfumed with an unmistakable hint of aromatic hops and a fruity (citrus) note from the spices used in production. The body has an intense yet distinctive bitterness and a strong malty taste which is a delight to the palate. The overall effect, however, is a slight dryness and hoppiness.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow gold with typical belgo head and lace, off white in colour. Aromas of citrus, herbs, grass, earthy, dough, bread and chalk. Medium-light, spritzy body, carbonation bite soft, but lively - pleasant malt character over the top of a nice light noble flavour and bitterness and a leading spciy clove, abbaye yeast character defining the beer through the finish. An unpleasant hot or solvent character through the finish only faint.

Copenhagen 29/9 2016. 75 cl bottle from Meny. The usual St. Feuillien label with a little blue shield and the usual declarations about "Abbayes" and "Abdij". Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. No lacing. Aroma is lemonadelike with fruity sweetness. Peach, canned pears. Belgian yeast and alcohol intermingling. Strong carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is medium sweet andquite well balanced with a medium bitter aftertaste. A little sourness as well. Only a slight booziness from the fairly high ABV. Does not distinguish itself from many other Belgian Strong Ales - but quite solid.

[backlog] 05-05-16 / bottle in Brussels. Nice Blonde. Golden with frothy head. Quite hoppy, citrus notes. Strong malt base, dry hoppy finish. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 2.25/5

Some flowery, citrusy bubble gum aspect, but bit harsh grainy kick, some spices. Light sweetness with light bitterness. Not bad, but not the best example of moderate Belgian

Hazy golden. Big frothy head shows decent persistence but low lacing. Quite a lot of carbonation visible. Aroma has a crackery foundation and a hint of earthiness followed by strong fruity hints (pear, orange, lemon, overall mostly on the citric side). Taste is a little different than the smell suggested. Crackery malts, sweet caramel/sugar and strongly earthy/yeasty with a slight herbal freshness. Overall slightly on the sweet side, bitterness perhaps a little higher than style average. Medium body with very dense carbonation, resulting in a full but quite heavy mouthfeel. Overall flavourful and ok, but a bit of a mess, far from what i would call a fine beer.

Pours hazy golden with a frothy white head. The aroma contains fruits, citrus, hops and spices. It tastes medium sweet and medium bitter, with a long light dry, spicy and hoppy finish. Medium body and fizzy carbonation. Not too much hops, which makes it very drinkable.

Bue 7 mois avant DLC. Belle mousse blanche qui tient. Carbonation moyenne. Arôme sur les fleurs/le miel : très agréable ! Final douce et légèrement amère avec une très bonne longueur. La levure bue à part est sur le feuillus et les agrumes, un peu dans le style houblon triskel.
