COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brown ale has a marked ruby brown colour with a generous and lasting head. It has a distinctive aroma reflecting the wide range of ingredients used in its production. The fruitiness resulting from its fermentation blends harmoniously with a dominant liquorice and caramel flavour. The body is decidedly malty. The bitterness is the result of a complex alchemy between the fine hops and special malts used. These give St Feuillien Brune a typical dark chocolate appearance.

Pours a hazy coppery brown with a thick, very creamy tan head. Aroma of sugar, bready yeast, caramel and dark fruits. Flavor is a bit dusty yeasty, with some sweet sugary fruits, some licorice and a slightly bitter finish. Quite creamy texture, lively carbonation, great mouthfeel. Very nice brew.

Pours a dark, cloudy brown with fizzy, quick diminishing head. Frangrant aroma of dark fruit and brown sugar. Taste is sweet, but not nearly as sweet as it smells...actually quite dry. Notes of dates, caramel, dark chocolate, roasted malt and some floral hops. Long, bitter-astringent finish. Sweetens a bit as it warms. Very drinkable for such a massive looking ale.
