3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours opaque, amber, copper with light tan, smallish head and light lace. Aromas of big malts; toffee, biscuit, pitted fruits, among a spicy clove dough earthen yeast character. Medium chewy near sickly sweet body, medium zesty carbonation. Finish is malty, sweet and lingering - sweetness dominating the yeast character for a satisfying malty sweet finish.

Fin brune. Mørk med lidt lakrids. En anelse for sød til min smag. Kan godt gå i en snæver vending.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a 330ml bottle on 15 October 2013. Pours a cloudy amber with a biggish head which dissipates. The aroma features caramel, dark fruit and figs, Flavour wise, you get more caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar and a touch of spice. This is a bit of a sweet one, but it has enough bitterness to balance it out. Has a fullish body and is slightly over carbed. This is a nice brune, let down only by the over carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It pours mahogany, almost opaque (very cloudy), and has ruby highlights; the head is bone-coloured and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: raisins, dark bread pudding, lemon-juice, and coriander. The taste is medium sweet, that finishes with a light sour/sweet/bitterness; there are notes of all the previously mentioned aroma characteristics - plus some yeasty funks. The palate is medium bodied, has medium carbonation, is sticky, and has a medium finish. Overall, pretty good albeit on the light body side.

Fantastic beer. Maybe my new favourite in the style. Great carbonation, perfect amounts of licorice. Wonderfully balanced.
